First time in this thread but as a Met fan the usage of the bullpen is just one of the reasons I want Manuel out of that damn dugout already. He throws the same guy out there over and over again until his damn arm falls apart and then everyone wonders why they suffer so many injuries. Nieve was outstanding at the early start of the season but you can't throw the guy out there five to six days a week all season long and expect to get results out of him. Not only is his arm going to wear down but he's going to become overexposed to the hitters in the league. If it's not Nieve it's Feliciano or Takahashi instead(never mind the fact that Takahashi should be in the rotation in Perez's place).

This day would be so much better if it wasn't a long boring day with the Phillies day off.

Mets lose on a wild pitch that Barajas couldn't handle.

Sabathia gives up 6 runs and the Yankees get shut out by the Tiger's again.

Cardinals get swept by "just the Astros"(still haven't let that go) and had Chris Carpenter pitching to make it even better.

    Yes, I am super biased.

Edit: Marlins jumped in on the "Phillies steal signs" wagon. This has potential to be entertaining for the next handful of days.

I'd just like to say Charlie Manuel is an idiot first off for making that comparison yesterday or the day before about the mets winning at home. I'd then like to say that there's nothing wrong with stealing signs, just don't have some dude sitting in the bullpen like a faggot with binoculars stealing them. Using the aid is what everyone is pissed off about. There's just no reason for it. That's my piece on the whole thing. It's stupid from the outset, the fact that the phils are trying to cover it up is what makes it annoying. Admit to it and just move on.

If the season ended today, the Nats would be the wild card. Feels good, man.

Also, to Yanks/Mets fans. What are my odds of being able to get a decent ticket to the game in the Bronx on June 19th? My wife has to go to NYC for a baby shower that day, and I might tag along to try to catch that game. Is the subway series still a big deal anymore?

That ticket is probably going to cost you $100 per seat at the least, and that's if you don't mind sitting in the bleachers or upper deck. Decent seat going to be 500+ easy. But yeah, you can get them, just check out stubhub.

If you order the tickets now for citifield, a good promenade seat, over looking home plate in the first row of the top deck, they are good seats and shouldnt run more than 50-70bucks. I'm not sure you'll even be able to get that seat though. I can't remember the section but if you look at the seating chart you'll know what I'm talking about.

Phillies tickets are really cheap compared to the prices you guys just said. I sat on the first level in the section next to the Phillies dugout for around 60 bucks. Was probably 20-25 rows back but were still good seats. They could probably raise the prices and still sell out.

It was around section 112 I think.

I'm poor as hell. I'm not used to paying more than $12 a ticket and standing on the lower concourse.

I did standing room once too. Not as uncomfortable as it sounds. Leaned on a railing down the 3rd base line near a camera.

I usually do standing room whenever I go with my buddies. They've got great seats up at Harry the K's, just gotta make sure your server understands that you'll be drinking and eating all game and they won't complain that you're there the entire time.

Yeah, I kinda missed that cuz he said yanks/mets so I thought he was talking about the upcoming series, and I didn't even look at the date.

At Yankee stadium I get free tickets occasionally, right at the right field foul pole in row 2 of section 213. They cost 50~ bucks and great seats.

My father works with a company that does titles for homeowners and as appreciation they give people they do business with free tickets. That's how I end up going to Yankee games. They actually got us tickets for the World Series the night they won last year, was excellent.

Yeah, if I've got seats, it's usually because my dad's work gives them to him. Guess it helps when you're working for and good friends with the CEO of the largets Tacobell/Pizza Hut/KFC franchise system in the tristate area.

My dad went to 5 WS games in the past two years free.

first off, fuck you Infante for getting picked off at second. that's like the third time this year someone's been picked off for not paying attention.

secondly..what the hell is Heyward, our highest RBI producer, doing batting SECOND?

I so want to catch a Yankees game one of these days. I haven't been to a game since my very early teen years. The new prices scare the shit out of me, even when they're playing a shit team. I really cringe at the idea of spending 200+ bucks for a good fun day at the ballpark. Stubhub ticket prices are pretty awful with a lot of games.
