Oh I thought you meant they had bad service or something. I'm at the point of nagging my roommate to buy it right away since he has the ps3
Yeah the mods are fantastic.
Also read that they were planning on moving the Braves parking lot due to Heywards HR's doing too much damage. Cox and Wren instead ordered the facility to put up nets so they wouldn't have to walk farther.
Grabbing TS:10 tomorrow morning as well.......went and paid it off tonight, hoping to convince someone to early release it like this place did for halo3. Oh well
I ordered it tonight and 2 day shipped it, so it should be here around the 5th (my birthday is the 6th)
I've been playing it for most of the day. RT Presentation is cool. The game hasn't changed all that much, which is good.
“Sony has created the most realistic simulation in video games,” and stating that, “the bar has officially been raised.”
Exert from the review, from GI, gave it a 9.5.
Animations are much more fluid for starters. Timing has been greatly enhanced and hitting really on anything other than rooking requires good timing and solid contact now, also fielding isn't so bland. There's actually object detection and improper fielding techniques actually has consequences, fucking running into the walls and shit. They matched alot of the windups to the pitchers too more accurately and that's something I always like.
Wait, wait. You can run into walls?!
Well aside from jumping into the walls, yeah if you take an angle directly into the wall to field a ball, it'll force you to stop your momentum before throwing back in not like crashing into it tho.
OhhI was hoping you could just crash into it, Haha. I can't wait to try the online league.
Is the RTTS training system(upgrading your dude) the same as last year?
I haven't played any other mode except HR Derby/Franchise. HR Derby was pretty standard, the only difference was the players on the sideline who cheered after you hit a bomb (Ichiro was always there and there seems to be only type of "cheer" that they loop over and over)
But yea, Real Time Presentation has made the game a lot more fluid (and it was already pretty fucking fluid) It just flows really well and I could be seeing shit, but the graphics are amazing.
There's additional 'training' and the catcher feature is nice to be able to call the game, but it's pretty time consuming. Dunno I didn't really play it enough to find out. Kinda just playing around with the franchise mode. I'll get back on RTTS tonight and try to see what else they changed. Alot of the changes aren't drastic, but when playing you notice everything.
I really wish I had a PS3 right now.![]()
I played 09 enough to notice every tiny flaw in the gameplay, they really should have hired me as a tester.
Think I will go ahead and order the PS2 version since I don't know how long it will take my roommate to buy for PS3.
ps2 version eeeew.
we're doing online franchise right?
