ooh, wish I could see the Broxton v. Miguel Cabrera AB right now
FUCK YOU CORDERO
If the Mets lose this game I'd be surprised if Jerry is still the manager next week.
Figures one of the weakest hit balls will go as a hit. Meanwhile every hard hit ball had a big play made on it. Not that I'm disappointed the no-hitter got broken up. I probably would have screamed if Castro's blooper was caught.
From Rotoworld:
ESPNDeportes reports that former major leaguer Jose Lima has died of a massive heart attack at his home in Los Angeles.
Lima played for six major league teams over the course of his 13-year career. His career record was 89-102 with a 5.26 ERA and a WHIP of 1.38. He was 37 years old.
Lima time is over I guess
Let's see if the Braves can score any runs without Heyward.
Chipper doesn't count anymore. >.>
David Ross drag bunt single, nice.
Chipper may be hitting barely above .200, but people still get scared of him so he's still a presence. Better than what.. Clevlen? Clevelan? Whoever that is. I can't even remember.
lol @ David Ross. Awesome backup catcher is awesome.
Today's Phillies game is more upsetting than yesterday's.
Wakefield dominating some Phillies hitters.
Medlen needs a 3rd and 4th pitch. Only having a fastball and change-up really limits what he can do and you can see it drags out innings when he runs out of options. I'm a huge fan of the 2-seamer after watching Maddux make a career out of it. Medlen seems to love the 4-seamer and has a decent one, but batters can just sit fastball.
Yeah, still no doubt he's done a great job, especially now that he'll be filling in for JJ for a bit. Saw a stat where his first 11 starts, he had like 33 walks, and then his last 40+ appearances, only has like.. 15 walks? Crazy change. He's really settled down.
Either way.. looks like the BoSox really remember Halladay.
I'm glad the Phillies decided not to play much defense today. I've seen more than enough of Halladay dominating the Sox in the past few years.
Holy shit David price is actually losing a game. Man I can't catch a break with my starters.
I get that it was a heavy rain delayed game last night, followed by an early game, but do we really need to sub out half of the offense during a 5 game winning streak while the Phillies struggle? Really, Bobby Cox? A sweep would have been nice.
For crying out loud. Everything is getting caught.
I hope the media realises the defense sucked and it's not related to all the innings Halladay has thrown. It's a really annoying topic.
