They're a streaky team. It's nothing new.
See? Sitting Chipper/McCann/Heyward is fine due to the fact that they are everyday players, but Hinske's only been filling in for Diaz/struggling Melky. Put him in as a pinch hitter and bam. Homer. START HINSKE.
also, looking between Moyer and Wakefield.. I can't believe Moyer is older, lol
I go and make a sandwich and i miss Clutchske's homer.
lmao at that error on the Phillies. Way to hit Pedroiaski in the back.
Pedroia's such a towering beast. I can see how it would be tough to toss a ball over all 5'7" of him.
ugh, Bailey leaves injured so the bullpen has to come in and they're already shaky so pitching all day is going to suck.
And a walk off by Pitt giving the Bravos a taste of their own medicine, dropping them to 23-21, still 3.5 back. See, today was a big day because not only could they have been within 2.5 games of the Phillies, but a 6 game winning streak going into an off day. Instead, they've got to go into their off day with a walk-off loss to the lowly Pirates. gg, Bobby Cox :/
suck it faggot braves
It's like the Jets to me. Two straight losses that are ridiculous have made me hate them temporarily
Man, Marlins tear shit up for one game in the entire series. Coming in with a .172 average and then getting 5 home runs? Fucking twats.
Well, Cephius, I hate to say I told ya so but....
The Yankees are now 6 games out of first, the injuries are still piling up, and their poor showing this weekend delayed the inevitable of Jerry's firing
I know they have the 2nd best record (well tied with the Padres and Twins) but that was thanks to the big lead they had when they were winning all those games. I am hopeful the team will recover but...people need to stay healthy!
The yankee fillins didn't preform so badly. Their starting pitchers were just out pitched aside from Vazquez. I wouldn't worry really. On that note, the mets now have some momentum and jason bay is on fire. After Wakefield was able to get by the phils with his knuckler I have hopes that Dickey can do the same and just continue the momentum. A couple of wins against the phils would change the outlook of the NL east.
They ran into some good starting pitching, it happens. Teixiera is also in a horrible slump, and I don't think Gardner got on base the whole series. On the bright side, Vazquez looked like his old self (don't give me garbage about it being a NL game either, the Mets can clearly hit) and Joba got some big outs. Robertson has also had 3 straight good outings. The whole team is in a slump and the starters are returning to earth together after a crazy good start. They just need to tread water right now and weather the storm, and they've been doing that. Through a horrible 2 week stretch, they're still 8 games over.
As for injuries "piling up"... are they? Swish is back, Granderson is due to return next week, Javy is okay, Aceves has been throwing and feels fine so.. as long as no one else goes down they should be getting healthy within the next week.
Which team is leading in errors right now? It seems like the Phils have at least one every day.
