I hope you guys realize that when he said "Pat Burrell is 4th in voting for the DH" the truth of the matter is that he's 4th out of 5 possible selections... and almost 80,000 votes behind the reanimated corpse of Ken Griffey Jr.

It does warm my heart that he's higher than David Ortiz, though

I used to have 20/20 vision sadly, but then I moved into glasses in like 5th grade, and it's slowly gotten worse. I'm really bad near-sighted and have a bad astigmatism as well, so :/ Just counting the days til bifocals. lesigh

Wtf, he's higher than Ortiz? Rofl. Also, did you see his 30 second trot around the bases? I mean comparing him to guys like Heyward (who ran around the bases for a homer in about 17.5 seconds) is just silly. Dude's like a grandpa.

I'm actually surprised they still let me drive to be completely honest. But then again, this is Florida, so I guess this is the best place for me. Legally blind in both eyes? HERE'S UR LICENSE LULZ.

And goddamn, really Rays? Two in a row at home to Boston? As if the Boston fans living down here weren't fucking annoying enough.

I'm not entirely sure why the Rays can't get their shit together at home.

I actually meant to put a period there, not a comma, so it does kinda read like I said he was deserving. I usually look over things I write before posting them but that time I didn't.

Fuck that guy for driving in two more game-winning runs tonight. So far it looks like the voters have it right though. Ortiz sucked horribly for the first month and a half. Vlad has been destroying baseballs. I would say that list looks about right.

EDIT: On the topic of all-star voting, let's keep the Sox out of the game entirely. No thanks on having guys taking an extra trip to the west coast in a year that's already pretty heavy on travel.

Aggravating Phillies game to watch. They had this shit last month for a handful of games after Rollins went out of the lineup(say what you want about him but he's the teams spark plug). I'm not overly concerned about their performance, their still 1st place with a barrage of injuries and still the best team in the NL.

-Castro was out with his hamstring/knee/whatever they said it was

-Polanco got hit on the elbow against the Braves in Atlanta and was slumping due to it

-Ruiz got hurt and is in a slight slump plus some bad luck on hard hit balls right at people

    -Rollins two DL stints

-Happ probably won't be back till June

-Blanton missed a handful of starts in April

-Madson cause he kicked a chair

    -Lidge cause of elbow stuff

Obviously I want them to get a bigger lead in the division but those aren't necessarily easy injuries to deal with. I'm not trying to make excuses, I'm definitely mad at them for the way they are playing but to go all "zomg what iz happenzing" is overboard.

By the way, please trade or DFA Gregg Dobbs and Ben Francisco. I don't understand why the media is like "Why doesn't Francisco get more playing time?". Here's why, he swings for the fences and makes dumb plays in the outfield. I'd give John Mayberry Jr. or maybe even Domonic Brown a try as a 4th outfielder. Dobbs has barely done anything with the bat and I'm still mad about that error on the DP ball.

I checked out the All-Star balloting and...

    Mark Teixeira: ~400k
    Justin Morneau: ~260k
    Miguel Cabrera: ~245k
    Carlos Pena: ~160k
    Kevin Youkilis: ~150k

What the fuck is going on here?...

Clearly you've never seen an all-star vote before. Most fans vote for names, not performances.

I consult my baseball guru friends before filling out the all-star ballot...I am biased towards the Phils, but if there's a better player at the position I'll choose them instead. For instance, Rollins is apparently leading for NL SS despite playing about a dozen games this season.

I think my NL ballot is something like

    1B Pujols
    2B Utley
    SS Ramirez
    3B Polanco
    C Ruiz
    OF Werth
    OF Victorino
    OF Heyward
Haven't looked at DH slot yet.

Wow, lol. Yeah, biased much? Werth is fine, but Victorino.. eh. They have Heyward sixth right now? Even though he's Top 5 in a few categories? The MLB All Star game never ceases to amaze me.

Also, Molina > Ruiz in terms of catcher. Rollins shouldn't be sniffing the field. Hell, neither should Chipper and he's 5th. If Prado, Tim Hudson, and Jason Heyward don't go, that's pitiful.

Also hell. While I know Polanco's had a great start.. Casey McGehee is fucking owning and should be ahead of both him and lolWright. Also, what the fuck at Votto not even being in the Top 5 right now. Obviously will never trump Pujols, but still. Don't forget Uggla at 2B.. but eh. It is indeed all name.

At least I know I'm biased lol. Victorino & Ruiz are the only truly iffy ones for me, but I'm admittedly not very familiar with other outstanding OFs or catchers. Plus if Ruiz gets on the team, every single one of the starters will be All-Stars, which I thought was pretty cool.

Barajas for the Mets has been good too.

Also, the AL's is a joke. Tex and Jeter winning by fairly big margins is just.. what the hell. A-Rod losing out is right since Longoria is a stud, and Cano should be pwning faces. The outfield's sorda tough because there's tons of guys that are deserving (Vernon Wells, Choo, etc)

My beef at SS is Alex Gonzalez (Blue Jays) getting no love what so ever. But when your name is Derek Jeter..

If Derek Jeter came back for one game when he was 60 years old, committed 7 errors and struck out 4 times, he would still get voted into the all-star game that year.

If I had to pick my NL All Star ballot right this second, it would probably look like this.

1B - Joey Votto or Howard - Pujols is having a bit of a down year so far.
    2B - Utley
SS - Tulo - I'd normally pick HanRam here but he's a douche so fuck him
    3B - Mark Reynolds
    C - Rod Barajas
OF - Braun, Werth, and Ethier

I have to confess I haven't been paying much attention to the AL, but I doubt my few votes will change the Yanks/Sox domination of the ballot.

What's Tulo's numbers so far? Doesn't he just have two homers? I guess he's hitting for average.
    3B - Casey McGahee easy.
OF - Braun, Werth, Heyward, fool. Ethier's hurt!

Yay for the Giants actually quadrupuling there run output over the last 3 games. Hopefully now we can start seeing some offense. This was a brutal past couple of weeks.

As for all star voting, I'll probably look around the end of june to vote, but it's become such a crock of shit, it's not even funny. Maybe if I get some free time, I can look at past all star games and see if I can create the worst statistically all star team ever. That would actually be kind of fun.

That's easy, just clone Yuniesky Betancourt 8 times.
