So I guess I'm not the only one who watched pretty much the entire game?

It was a good little spring training game. Kendrick looked good, not much hitting, but I'm just happy to watch some baseball. I'm glad there's more games on this spring than the last few years. Does anybody have a good source to watch spring training games online that might not be on CSN?

    Spring Training TV & Radio

March is Grapefruit League season. The Phillies play 29 games in Florida this month, plus a game against Florida State University.

A total of 10 games will be televised, the most ever for the Phillies. Among the TV outlets is Comcast SportsNet, the Comcast Network, MyPhil17 and ESPN.

    The MLB Network
The MLB Network will be picking up local telecasts and airing them. Some of the games will be shown live, while others will be tape delayed until the evening.

The following two games will be shown in Philadelphia:
    **March 8, live at 1 p.m.
    **March 9, live at 7 p.m.

The following Phillies games will be broadcast by the network, but will be blacked out in Philadelphia:
**Thursday March 4 will be tape delayed and shown at 7 p.m.
**March 13 will be shown live at 1 p.m.
**March 16 will be shown on tape delay at 10 p.m.
**March 20, will be shown live at 1 p.m.
**March 21 will be shown live at 1 p.m.

    Radio
12 games will be broadcast on WPHT 1210 AM and six more on phillies.com.

Spring Training games of all clubs can be heard through MLB.com.

    On Deck Series
Two games against the Pirates at Citizens Bank Park will be held April 2-3 and the season starts April 5 in Washington, DC.
If any are streaming online for free it'd probably be the 8th and 9th which are MLBN only according to that and the schedule. (The Schedule link on the article doesn't take you to the Phillies schedule.)

The Big Talker 1210 airs 14 Spring Training games beginning with the Spring Opener from live Clearwater on March 4th, first pitch 1:05 PM.

The tests will be conducted on Monday, and the Mets shortstop will not play again until the results are known, which could be as late as Wednesday.

"Further review of the test is that there may be an imbalance in his thyroid levels," a club spokesman said.

Reyes, who reported to the ballpark on Friday expecting to make his spring debut against the Marlins, said he had no idea he was going to be scratched from the lineup for a second consecutive day. He said that he was told the test result was "a higher level," meaning that he may have an overactive thyroid.

He said that he didn't feel any different than he has recently.

"I don't know what's going on, this is the first time I've ever had something like this," Reyes said. "I have to be worried. I can't do anything."

Reyes, who missed most of last season and had surgery in October to repair a torn tendon in his hamstring right hamstring, reiterated that there was no concern about his leg.

"This is important, it's nothing about my leg," he said. "We were talking about me today."

Reyes was taken out of the lineup on Thursday because he had a follow-up after blood results from his team physical showed something unexpected. He had gone earlier in the morning to have blood work done, then went later to make sure everything was OK.

Afterward, though he didn't know much about the specifics, Reyes said he was good, adding: "I can't wait to get on the field tomorrow."
    Oh for fucks sake.

If it makes you feel better, Hamels gave up a home run already. Gonna assume(and hope) it was his cutter that he is working on though.

He retired 5 or 6 in a row then gave up a hit where the guy just beat the throw according to the radio guys. You can listen in with a free MLB.com account.

Thyroid imbalance isn't a big deal at all, I wouldn't panic quite yet.

The blog that this comes from (I Want To Go To The Zoo With Roy Halladay) is pretty bizarre, but I like it.

Got MLB 10: The Show finally. Haven';t played yet since there's such a huge install and a download patch you have to do. I downloaded the 343MB patch (so slowly) and then started the 4.5GB install.. got to 91% and it froze, causing me to delete it and redo it :/ shit sucks.

Anyone tell what kind of fastball he's throwing there? Looks either four-seam or cut.

I was assuming his curveball going by the way his finger looks spiked.

Found these over on The Fightins:

If he were throwing a curveball his palm would be facing towards third base. The idea for a curveball is whipping your hand around and giving the ball forward spin - that's what causes the break. The way the ball is coming out of his hands there is definitely a fastball grip, either two or four-seam, but the seams on the ball don't look in the right place for having thrown a two-seamer.
