I'll bite. Bay has been good, aside from the home runs. Worth the 66m? Not really because the Mets bid against themselves.

I think bay will catch fire and hit eventually but the problem is unless he gets on his streak his hits are on and off right now. That said listen to why the mets couldnt multitask this season. Minaya couldn't answer a single question with a definite answer:

Apparently after his refusal to go to the minors again the Mets hired Tonya Harding to do a number on his knee with a baseball bat and have since placed Oliver Perez on the DL with a knee injury.

From a Red Sox fan's point of view at this point in the season -- you can have him. We were so worried about our offense this year without Bay but at this point in the season in the majors, Sox are second overall in home runs (77), second in runs scored (303), first in RBIs (293), fourth in BA (.275), second in OBP (.350) and slugging (.466) and tied for first with the Yankees in OPS (.817).
