Should I be excited about this catcher from Miami?

Not that MLB draft picks are ever worth getting excited about unless it's Strasburg, but he is considered the top college position player by many in this year's class.

I got excited about Mike Leake and that turned out well.

Position players are different beasts though I guess.

But yeah the main reason is you don't see most guys for a few years and HS players especially are a huge crapshoot on if they pan out or not.

Hamels is pitching well, no doubt, but why is Hamels still in the game at 121 pitches..?

ALOT of rest. Rain Delays in two starts in a row and only threw around 20 pitches in the delay in Atlanta. It doesn't really seem like a big deal for him though... his previous high was around 116 this year. And they were giving him a chance to win. Most of his innings seemed pretty easy.

I picked Stanton up in my fantasy league. If anything, maybe he'll pull a Heyward/Ike Davis and start off hot before I dump him when he cools off.

With Halladay and Moyer (Considering Stanton's strike outs, he's likely going to suck against Moyer like every one else on the team does), I don't expect too much out of him in the series though haha.

Citizen's Bank Park is certainly a good place to start a home run derby in though 8)

I just went to see where the Marlins bullpen ranked in the NL (5th worst, 4.53 ERA).

And then I saw second worst: Brewers, 6.09 (lolHoffman)

and then I saw the worst: Diamonbacks, 7.29! Nealy a run per inning when your bullpen is in! Jesus damn
