Eh, nah. Just a spring training game x.x
Just ordered a new brewer's hat/hoodie. Excited to see 81 games of great baseball followed by 81 games of not-so-great baseball. FSN is also broadcasting all but 5 games for them this year, and all of them in HD.
Floating realignment anyone?
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/201...html?eref=sihp
"When baseball commissioner Bud Selig named a 14-person "special committee for on-field matters" four months ago, he promised that all topics would be in play and "there are no sacred cows." The committee already has made good on Selig's promise by discussing a radical form of "floating" realignment in which teams would not be fixed to a division, but free to change divisions from year-to-year based on geography, payroll and their plans to contend or not."
Seems a little extreme to me, when a much simpler solution could be a salary basement or god forbid a cap. I mean, who's going to actually want to move to the AL east?
Agreed. Realigning teams so they'd have a better chance is silly. The Twins have always been pretty good, but let's face it; are the Indians, White Sox, Tigers, and Twins really powers? Hasn't helped the Royals any, what with their finishing last every year. If they are talking about Baltimore/Blue Jays, well they're just boned due to where they are. Not much you can do about that.
Realigning shit would be stupid beyond belief.
Move the Braves, Mets and the Phils to the AL East for SUPER DIVISION OF DOOM.
Move the Jays, O's, and Rays to the NL East for SUPER DIVISION OF NATS HAVE A CHANCE.
AL East:
Yanks
Sox
Braves
Mets
Phils
NL East:
Nats
Fish
Rays
O's
Jays
Everybody wins. Except for the teams in the new AL East. But that's good because I hate them.
The Braves and Phillies actually did pretty well against the AL East last year in the division match-ups.
Rays/Marlins would own the NL East in that case. LOLNATS. Don't be silly :3
If you really look at the divisions across the board, every team has a chance to win their division except the AL east. Sure you'll get a Rays situation every 5 years or so when everything lines up perfectly, but other than that it's a 2 team race. Would they dare split up the Yanks and Red Sox? Just doing that opens the door to more wild card possibilities, but it hurts the bottom line.
You also can't blame those 2 teams. They're paying huge revenue sharing numbers which a lot of teams are pocketing and not using to improve their teams. That has to be handled first and foremost.
Got to love the LOLMets this year. According to ESPN, mets medical staff think he has a thyroid issue and Reyes is saying no I don't. If Reyes is right, god help any Mets player that gets injured this year.
are the Mets trying to help the Nats out of the cellar or something?
They keep this up, they may become the Oakland Raiders of baseball. Who wants to sign with these guys right now knowing if they get hurt they could get fucked?
Tests done in NY already confirmed that he does in fact have an overactive thyroid. Originally non-mets doctors in Florida discovered the condition on a routine test and when he was sent back to NY, tests yesterday confirmed it. I haven't heard anything to the contrary yet.
Edit: According to that ESPN article, Reyes believes that the non-mets docs in Florida discovered inflammation and specialists in NY, again not mets docs, said that they don't believe he has a thyroid issue, but is waiting on secondary tests to confirm. Which is different from what Marty Noble posted on Mets.com about doctors confirming he has the condition.

I do not like Atlanta's chances![]()
Some of those teams have a better chance of winning the lottery than even making it to the playoffs lol.
