And really, Viq? Ouch.. talk about a shitty injury.

HOLY SHIT DID THEY SERIOUSLY JUST CALL BASES LOADED BALL 4 A STRIKE 3 ON JOHNNY DAMON? God fucking damnit, the braves are lucky as fuck.
What a terrible called strike but i'll take it.
Grats KK on first win.
Bozo has by far the most delicious tears in this thread.
You sure are mad.
Also just saw the replay of the Chipper home run, happy for the guy, mother fucker aint done yet.
And now Buccholz got hurt running the bases. Interleague sucks so bad
Any fan of a team in the NL East race should be mad. It's not like it was even a close call, umpire just gave the Braves a game.
Edit: And if it was a strike called a ball every Braves fan in this thread would be screaming their heads off.
Clearly it is time to replace umps with machines so things like this don't happen again.
One could argue that the liner Inge hit to Chipper was a fair ball so it shouldn't have even gone to that. I thought that was a bad call too.
I don't think much of Torre, but I'll agree that he probably isn't the problem with the Dodgers. They have an above-average pitching staff, an average offense, and an atrocious defense. It's a problem of team construction. Pitching wins are more expensive than position-player wins, and offensive wins are way more expensive than defensive wins. There just isn't any way to win with front office moves like that unless you're spending like the Yankees or you graduate a lot of cheap young talent all at once.
I dunno about you other Yankees fans, but Burnett is pissing me off the more I see him. I know the guy is so much more capable of what he's been throwing lately. Whatever they did with Vazquez, they need to do to him.
FUCKING BURNETT.
Thats how I feel, and you hit it right on the head. Its frustrating because when hes on, hes so fucking on, but lately he has obviously been the antithesis. His emotions affect him way too much, and I know he will eventually turn it around once he gets a decent start or 2 under his belt to build on. Few pitchers in the league have such an egregious disparity between their max and minimum performance as Burnett. At least hes doing it this team against a good team with capable hitters and not some AAAers like the Orioles.
Eventhough 9/14 of those wins came against the Nationals, Pirates, and Indians, can't knock the ChiSox as of late. Any team that wins that many games in that span is doing well. And I love me some Ozzie.
<3 it's so weird, they are having guys like step up when others are having a bad game, the last few games it was quentin, today it was Konerko, and our starting pitching has been unreal. Also, fuck Carlos Silva and his dominance, I wanted us to get like 8 runs off him today, he's just not as good as he's pitching right now
