Didn't get a chance to watch today's game completely but I'm very disappointed in Mike Pelfrey. It seems as though after having success with a new pitch and being dominant with that pitch, he has now regressed and can't get over the frustration of not being able to pitch like he did for most the first half. His problems have always been mental and now unless he gets his control back he's going to continue to struggle.

And don't be fooled by Pelfrey's line and go thinking it was decent. It wasn't. He was in the 90s with pitch count through to the 5th inning, but the Braves were something like 0-9 with RISP until they finally broke through in that inning. He should've been behind 5/6-0 or something like that.

He pitched out of trouble early, but the base runners caught up with him in what the 4th? Also the Mets training staff has to lose their jobs if Reyes ends up being out for an extended period of time. He was clearly not able to play even if he insisted he could and the medical staff cleared him. Manuel should lose his job as well if something happens to reyes.
