Phils will be retired in order and win with a walk-off HR by Valdez in the 12th.

sweet jesus that's correct.
Also lolCliffLee.
Little do you guys know but Lee is already on the Yankees payroll, he'll throw games so Texas loses and then sign next year for 6 years and 200 million dollars (back pay included)
As long as the Phillies keep winning in walk off the rookies can blank them for as many innings as you like.
Lol. Jesus, Reds. You should've won at least one of these games against the Phils, but nooo.
It's nice to win a series for once.
Last night's loss I was fucking livid, but this one, not so much. Wood pitched good enough for us to win but Halladay kept them in it.
Reds have sucked with with RISP this series, which they've been the best at.
joba chamberlame
teehee
So what exactly does Joba have to do to lose his job? Apparently having an ERA north of 5 isn't enough of a clue
White Sox FTW 7 in a row!!!
Quentin's on his way(and its OK!)
also Konerko in all star game!!
For some dumbass reason I drafted both Javy and Burnett. Javy pitches a great game and I think I may actually get a much needed win.
Nope.
I wonder if they keep Joba up out of pride.
I don't understand the process. Nick Blackburn has a fucking 6.40 ERA/1.66 WHIP this year and he's still starting.
Bob Sheppard dead, this fucking sucks.
The Yanks management of young pitchers has always been poor. Between Joba and Hughes you can clear see how over protective they are of their pitchers. It's to the point where they are actually hindering their growth. The Yanks could not decide on what role joba could fill and as a result he never developed into anything. If they keep over protecting Hughes he's going to end up in the same boat. Even Strasburg is going to work his innings and be shut down at the end of the year, not during the fucking middle of the season like the yanks were gonna do if they acquired lee.
If they send Joba down, they concede the fact that they screwed up and stunted his development. I doubt they'd make that concession lol.
toqabowl, you watching this game? lol
quentin is geeked out of his mind
Quentin was batting .201 on June 13th with 10 HRs and 33 RBI in 55 games. Since then he has hit .368 with 11 HRs, 28 RBI, and 18 Runs in the last 21 games.
Go Phils. Finally found the Arthur Rhodes quote about Cory Lidle:
*I wonder if he feels bad about that now.So, Cory Lidle has left the Phillies and is heading to the Yankees. In an interview, he said he was excited about pitching in the Bronx because "over the last few years I haven't had a clubhouse that expected to win with me." This got back to Phillies reliever Arthur Rhodes, who was less than pleased.
"He is a scab," Rhodes said. "When he started, he would go 51/3 innings and (the bullpen) would have to win the game for him. The only thing Cory Lidle wants to do is fly around in his airplane* and gamble. He doesn't have a work ethic. After every start, he didn't run or lift weights. He would sit in the clubhouse and eat ice cream. ... He shouldn't say that, he shouldn't say anything like that because he is a scab. He crossed the line when guys like me, Flash (Tom Gordon) and (Mike) Lieberthal were playing. He is a replacement player."
