Apparently the Red Sox have exceeded the Luxury tax threshold and have nothing but a disappointing season to show for it so far lol. That sucks.

I'll never count them out until it's over, they get a lot of people back around August and they play the Yankees another 13 times I think... though all but 3 are in Yankee Stadium.

Also the game was amazing yesterday. The Legends Suite area of YS is like going to a completely different ballpark. Free food everywhere and we eventually moved up to the front row right behind the dugout. Great game... couldn't have asked for much more. The Yankees know how to honor people, they always do these things right.

Man the Mets are officially digging themselves into a hole they aren't going to climb out of. They look completely lethargic at the plate except for Beltran and Davis tonight, and if they don't start picking up games while the braves are losing, probably wont catch them at all. It's a 1-0 game with 2 innings left for Reds' to bat, so he can still get a ND.

It just sucks. His debut was 7 scoreless innings while a reliever gives up 2 inherited so Wood takes that. Takes a perfecto into 9 in his last start and loses in extras. Now today, goes six innings allowing only one run, which was a homer and is getting no run support because the bats have been swinging at everything and not drawing pitches.
