Stanton isn't doing that bad... .725 OPS in 134 PA. Needs to get on base more and cut down the Ks, but a .204 ISO is pretty impressive for a 20 year old rookie lol

Yep, performing basically as would have been expected. One of the interesting things is, it's not that he's getting beat with sliders. He's getting beat by fastballs cuz he looks for the breaking pitches. He's been more aggressive as of late though, and it's really showing (.849 OPS in July, 0.39 BB/K compared to .636 OPS in June, 0.19 BB/K).

You look at the guys who've put up a .200 ISO as a 20 year old and it's just littered with hall of famers, future hall of famers (Cabrera, A-Rod), guys who probably would have been hall of famers if not for injuries (Tony Conigliaro, Bob Horner)....and then Ruben Sierra lol
