Oswalt is no Lee, but when if the Phillies get healthy and hit to their potential he will have the opportunity to be a beast again. His best years in Houston were on a team who offensively was not as good as this Phillies team is (and that Astros team could hit).

HOWEVER, next year CC-Lee-Hughes-Burnett-Pettitte is going to be absolutely devastating. If we could get some middle relief just mail it in.

Jorge Cantu was on one of those trade deadline slumps (fucks up just in time for the deadline). He'll do well at 1B for the rangers.

Marlins kind of got the short end of the deal, but we only have to pay out $600k of his contract.

Oh well. Wes Helms at third is still a bump up from Jorge

I'm trying to figure out what Wren is planning to do, if anything.

The only spots that need an upgrade are CF and LF. The problem is i don't think Cody Ross is an upgrade from Diaz/Hinske. I would have jumped all over Podsednik before the Dodgers did. I'm assuming Wren wasn't considering him since we always deal with KC.

Then there's Glaus at 1st. If his knees are really bothering him as badly as his numbers this past month indicate, then that position worries me. I guess we could toss Hinske or anyone else there without any issue and just focus on LF and CF though.
