@ Aki the mets have to sweep the Braves and Phils to stay in contention. Aint happening, when Santana gives up 3 in the first and they can't turn a fucking double play. Also can't drive in runs against hudson early. Fucking weak.

Uh he's pretty much right, the Mets aren't going anywhere lol. Does anyone buy them as being better than the Phillies or Braves? With all that talent the team just doesn't hit, and their best pitcher is Dickey. Something wrong there!

Braves are an awful road team, have only gotten consistent pitching out of Hudson for the most part, and their offense is dreadful for the most part. Your point? Get a good run at home against some shitty teams and it helps the confidence in baseball.

Sounds a lot like the Phillies, with the only difference being we were a lot more talented to begin with so it doesn't hurt us quite as much.

The Braves have a stretch of like 21 of the next 30 games being at home, and they have been a great home team this year, so its gonna be tough to keep pace, especially with Howard going down. I'll seriously be amazed if we manage to make it to the playoffs this year with all that has happened. Theoretically we'll have everyone back healthy by early September, but it may be too little too late by then.

The mets lost both series to the Dbacks. Worst pitching in the league basically. If they can't get to guys like that, they can't get to the braves or phils. Like I said their season is essentially over unless the braves and phils lose 5 games in a row each.
