Ah for fucks sake, Houston puts up a 6 spot on St Louis. Reds are playing the Pirates. CHANCE TO TAKE A BIGGER LEAD
No, Mike Leake allows 6 run 2nd.

Yes it does. Not only was he a spoiled brat, he wasn't hitting for shit. I and I'm sure many of the players were tired of his act. Gonzalez's offensive numbers are a bit flukey sure, but his defense has always been constant and he, you know, gives a damn. Can you guess which player is more desirable for a playoff run?
Benches clear in Boston. A lot of jawing, not a lot of action. Things calm down after John Lackey gets into the middle of things and mouth-breathes all over the place.
Definitely lol'd at fat angry Beckett.
Just as I get in the car I hear that Jeff Francouer took Wagner oppo for the lead. We needed that win and Dickey was reliable as always. But that hit is huge for frenchy, maybe he'll now realize that that needs to be his approach all the time. Also heard that Howard has hit the DL for philly, so that series now looms even larger.
Safe face much? That is an absurd explanation and you know it. Who the fuck cares what inning he gives up the runs if he is only giving up 9 ER in 37 IP?
That last sentence sounds like a perfectly reasonable reason to trade someone. Stop mixing the deals up. The Escobar trade was good, the Ankiel trade was bad. If we traded Glaus for Pujols and then Pujols for Casey Kotchman, the first trade alone was still a good trade. And the Escobar/Gonzalez trade was terrible now that the Bravos traded Tim Collins. It was an okay trade for them before because some people saw Collins as Billy Wagner-esque with his size and power behind his pitches, but not now, because he's a Royal. Also, Escobar's ceiling is way fucking higher than Gonzalez, Lol. Braves just bit the bullet because they realized he'd never play hard for them.
Wow are you fucking serious St Louis?
21 Hits, 18 runs TO THE ASTROS? Who traded their only productive bats?!
Sweet Jesus Reds, don't blow this opportunity, complete the comeback.
Ugh, I was so excited after we got a lead off single in the 9th.
Bruce: 0-5 2K.
Why are you either so bad or so good?!
Listen. If you come out and give up 2-4 runs in the first two innings and immediately get an offense that's lacking.. behind in a game and have them pressing, it's inconsistent. I don't care if he's given up 9 runs in 37 IP. He still gives up MOST of those runs in the first couple innings and has the Braves chasing that team the whole game. If the Braves were the Reds or the Brewers or whoever else can actually score, it'd be different.
The Escobar trade was bad and the Ankiel trade was just as bad. We basically gave up a talent that has a high ceiling for a guy who had a flukey first half with 18 bombs. Do you think we'll get the same production out of him as he gave the Blue Jays in the first half? No.
Rangers auction will be going down at 11am CST: Cuban vs. Ryan/Greenburg.
So ready for this to be over.
Anyone got a few hundred million lying around? I need to trade Hamilton, Feliz, and Lee to the Yankees
lol I wonder how that'd work considering Texas still owes him something like 25 million from the $252 million deal they signed him to all those years ago. Buy the team and then pay himself?
Both players were having flukish seasons. Escobar wasn't that bad and Gonzalez isn't this good. Escobar's also the better defender. It never makes sense to trade a talented SS for an aging vet who's never shown the ability to carry a competent bat. I don't follow the Braves enough to know where the "spoiled brat" shit is stemming from, but if it was a problem with Cox, wait it the fuck out until he retires after the year.
Oh for fucks sake, bidding delayed until 12:30 CST now...
A-Rod 600
And the national crisis is over. Grats to my man on #600. Now everyone can enjoy watching 24/7 coverage of Brett Favre on ESPN!
So I'm not sure if Skirkle posted it here, but there's a guy on facebook/internets drumming up support to bring the A's back to Philadelphia.
I think it'd be pretty cool and there would need to be some division shuffling, but it wouldn't be too difficult to do that. What would be difficult is getting other franchises to be down with that cutting into revenue.
A's to the AL East, KC to the AL West, and Toronto to the AL Central.

I missed it. I fucking missed it.
I thought the game was on at 2, gagaslfsd
