Apparently Manuel refused to ask Krod for another inning of work, almost like he was protecting a hurt player. Krod isn't hurt, he aint pitching like he's hurt, he's retired 20 out of 21 of the batter's he's faced. Now there's even a report that Krod and Jerry manuel actually got into a serious fight in the locker-room hallway to the point where cops were called to break it up.

So because there is no offense and manuel is protecting players who don't need protecting, the mets lose a game that they just should not have. Oh my god can this team get their shit together or what.

Closer Francisco Rodriguez was taken into custody by the NYPD after Wednesday night's game after an incident with his father-in-law at Citi Field, according to a police source. The police source said the father-in-law suffered an abrasion to the face. No charges had yet to be filed.

The Mets issued the following statement:

"There was an incident between Francisco Rodriguez and his family tonight at the ballpark. He was questioned by police and all other questions pertaining to this incident will be referred to the police department."

And my statement still holds true. Krod is an angry dude, the mets should of used him and didn't and he was pissed about it. isn't the first time this has happened.

How would he have cost us another game, if anything gunning down Nelson Cruz at third kept them within striking distance. How many games has he carried the team? Much like Cano, he's really helped carry the team this year. Hard to fault him for having a bad game offensively when they struck out 17 times as a team and overall played like shit in the field and at the plate.
