Yeah, your IF is nice if everyone performs. OF ds decent too, but your pitching is scary. Scary for two reasons, really. One, if they are all healthy.. it could be really good, but what will you get out of Oswald and Harden? Those two are so hard to judge. I quit drafting Harden.

I signed up for two Yahoo Public leagues for the hell of it (autodraft) and both my teams are absolutely atrocious. I'm not even gonna bother posting the rosters they are that bad. This is why I hate autodrafting.

In one league I have 3 middle relievers and no closers, and the other I have 4 closers and all my starters are garbage. I don't think I'm even gonna bother paying attention to either team.

Yeah my starters other than CC are shit. Oswalt is old so I'm just crossing my fingers- Harden was a good value I felt when I picked him cause when he is healthy and on he is nasty. Hoping some of these guys step up and I can manage Strasburg just sitting on the bench for a month or two.

Did pretty good on my roster, fucked up with Joe Nathan though. Pretty good outfield, pleased with my pitching outside of Nathan and a couple other randoms. Weak infield save for VMart, AGon, and Pena, pretty glad I had Vlad and Big Papi though. Honestly I wasn't even online for the draft, was flying back from a job interview that night. Pleased with my roster though.

Also Saga, Street is going to be out for a little bit so you may want to grab another closer with him and Nathan both down

Been playing MLB 10 for around a week now, mainly online. Pretty fun but the ball lag when the ball get's to the strike zone is lame. I keep getting late swings but it's helped a little bit. Baserunners who randomly steal are retarded, I couldn't figure out how to pick off at first but now they just get caught like tards. Guess Pitch can fuck off, I don't care if you guess the exact pitch and location, a cutter in on the hands shouldn't be a home run.

Anyone try/think about doing a league? Something I might be interested in depending on how many games it is.

Edit: Oh yeah, did anyone see that switch pitcher kid with the Yankees? What the hell do they do if it's switch vs switch? Hitter gets turned to his weaker side?

    Hitter has to decide first.

Haha, Bozo. I know what you mean. I'd love to do an online league though.

No real clue. I did a few friendlies with Kurp and had some fun there. I won two of three.. we played Twins/Braves twice and I won with the Braves, but then we did Yankees/Phillies and he won off of a weird play that Rollins didn't get in the bottom of the 9th. I shut him down pretty good with Halladay though.

I've been wanting to play against the Twins in Target Field, but when I finally found a Twins opponent through "Play Now" they chose to play in KCR's park. Curious as to what it looks like in real life, seems hitter friendly.

I do indeed, although how could you not have Strasburg? He went in the 15th round in my draft, which I thought was a little high but I'm sure he'll just be on the "9 minor league starts and up" program.

My job has a rotating shift schedule, but I'm supposed to work next Monday from 5am to 5pm, still bitter I'm missing opening day at Nats Park. Give me the full scouting report on Obama's slurve.

My group of friends started playing fantasy baseball about fifteen years ago (yes I'm old) using a website called Smallworld (which I think was bought by The Sporting News) which just assigned a raw point total to every stat, 1 point for a hit, 5 points for a HR, 10 points for a win, 1 point for a K, etc. We didn't like it much, and when we went to rotisserie, the default settings on the sites we used was 4x4, or "traditional" and we just sort of stuck with it. Personally I've liked it better, I think K's gives too much of an advantage to the elite horses, but we actually voted at this year's draft to go 5x5 next season. Oh well.

Roommate saw him when he played for Staten Island. They just kept switching until the ump stopped them.

Edit: Apparently the rule states that the pitcher picks a hand first.

MLB Rule 8.01 (f), regarding ambidextrous pitchers
A pitcher must indicate visually to the umpire-in-chief, the batter and any runners the hand with which he intends to pitch, which may be done by wearing his glove on the other hand while touching the pitcher's plate. The pitcher is not permitted to pitch with the other hand until the batter is retired, the batter becomes a runner, the inning ends, the batter is substituted for by a pinch-hitter or the pitcher incurs an injury. In the event a pitcher switches pitching hands during an at-bat because he has suffered an injury, the pitcher may not, for the remainder of the game, pitch with the hand from which he has switched. The pitcher shall not be given the opportunity to throw any preparatory pitches after switching pitching hands. Any change of pitching hands must be indicated clearly to the umpire-in-chief.

You can play a divisional league or a round-robin. The minimum number of teams are six for both. They give you the option of changing how many games you want to play per series, how many series you want to play, how many days are allowed for each series to get played in, and how many playoff teams you want.

I'd be up for playing some leagues.

It's pretty easy to talk me into playing games at Target Field. I haven't played in weeks though, I've been waiting on opening day rosters and the season to start before I get too into it. I'm a terrible hitter at the moment.

Here's a couple of pictures of Pat Venditte's (switch arm pitcher) six-fingered glove.

I was kid of curious how it would look. The dual webbed design is pretty cool. He had it custom made by Mizuno for $400.

edit: The bottom glove looks smaller, so maybe he had a new model made.

Ferien is actually correct, the pitcher has to choose first. ESPN lied to me during the game because I was watching it...

Bregor, I think K's are a pretty balanced stat. After Lincecum, most guys with a ton of strikeouts have a higher WHIP from more walks.
