They only threw at morgan (hbp!=throw at). And as far as his collusion at C, did you see the clip or just read about it? He would have been safe if he slid. This wasn't a thing with the catcher blocking the plate, there was a ton of room for Morgan. Morgan decided to truck him to truck him, not to be safe...cuz if he wanted to score a run, he'd have slid and scored the run.

Personally I don't think anything he did was bad. Doesn't mean I can't enjoy it though :D

Ok but is there really a difference between throwing behind someone/throwing near someone's head/hitting someone? It's the same message. I saw the collision replay multiple times, it was a dumb play. I think he just made up his mind early he was going to go through him instead of sliding for the plate and it turned out to be a bad decision.

I think the bigger issue was not him hitting hayes, but how he acted after, which showed why he hits hayes. He walked around proudly, and stomped back on the plate. Again, he wanted to fuck Hayes up. This wasn't "oh god I gotta score", it's "I get to fuck someone who's in a bad position while he's catching a ball."

But like I said though, I personally don't think anything he did was bad. Especially the stolen bases.

There is a difference between throwing at someone and throwing at their head/behind them. You back off the plate if it's coming at you, so you're risking backing into a pitch at your head.

Look at the NLCS two years ago, Kuroda threw at Victorino and Shane was fine with it, except he threw it at his head not his body. There's a big difference.

With all due respect to Wes Helms, he's wrong in this situation. You don't throw at a guy that stole a base because his team is losing. The way baseball has changed from 1990 to present, no lead is safe. You continue playing until the last out is made.

It's all in good fun, I don't think anyone's genuinely pissed about it anymore. Even A-rod signed some of those "get off my mound" shirts and sent them to Braden to sign and auction for charity.

That said, if you don't expect fans in the Bronx to let him have it you are batshit crazy.

So i'm looking at this stupid nats/marlins blowup yesterday over the stolen bases. I couldn't see any replays of the steals but from the sounds of it, the Marlin's weren't even holding him on so he was able to steal pretty easily? Seriously some of these unwritten rules are fucking retarded. From the get off my mound bullshit to now you can't steal and try to spark a rally when your down by a lot. Retards I guess will be retards.

I mean, if you're 11 points up, then you're kind of far behind already...after they tossed two of our pitchers we had a pitcher that wasn't ready give up a few more runs. In the end of the day, fuck Nyger.

And yes, no lead is ever too large to lose, but they didn't lose it.
