In regards to Timmy winning last year, don't forget though that Wainright actually got more first place votes. If it wasn't for one of Wainwright/Carpenter, the other likely would have won it over Timmy.
Sandy Rosario makes his major league debut
His first MLB pitch got jacked out by Rickie Weeks.
His second MLB pitch was CRUSHED by Prince Fielder.
That's gotta be some kind of record lol
Last year, the #2 AL pitcher in the voting was actually very clear cut, and it was Felix Hernandez, who lost to Greinke despite having 4 more wins... it would be a cruel twist of fate for him to lose this year because he didn't have enough wins. Surpisingly, Greinke got 25 of 28 first place votes, which makes me think there's a good chance that Felix keeps enough votes to win it this year, particularly after last night's CC implosion. Hernandez's ERA is now 0.95 below Sabathia; if he gets a full point below, which seems easily possible if not likely, it's going to be very hard to make a reasonable case for CC over Felix.
Man Jose Bautista's year is almost too good to be true. Really hope he ends up being clean because his season might finally quell some of the PED nonsense. Everyone of his home runs have gone to Left and Left Center. Nothing oppo. That's sick.
Fucking awesome Atl getting spanked by the Nats gain.
Can't be making the post season when you can't beat crappy teams.
7 hits and 6 walks kind of ends any chance at the Cy for Huddy
Nah. His start two starts ago against the Cards where he gave up 7 hits 6 runs pretty much ended it. It's Wainwright's to lose.
Wainwright has/had been pretty shitty in the last half of august and first half of September.
Happy Halladays
He'd have to be pretty god damn shitty to not win the Cy Young this year, though. Know what's shit? Halladay will probably get it, even though their base stats (strikeouts, WHIP, ERA, etc) are all pretty much the same. Hell, Wainwright's a little better ERA wise, but eh.
Halladay will win it for the same reason Votto will win the MVP. Playing well and leading their team into the postseason. The Braves just look like they've shut it down for the year. Sorry for the Braves fans here.
Phillies remind me so much of the '90's Braves. Big 3 starters and play for the 3-run homer.
I really want to hate them but i just can't.
If Atl doesn't make the postseason then i become a Twins fan me thinks. To see everyone whine when the WS is being played in snow will be worth it.
Wat. Wainwright has a little better ERA than Halladay and the same number of strikeouts...but with 1 less start Halladay has thrown 3 more complete games (including the perfect game), more shutouts, and has like 30 less walks. Keeping in mind that at this point in the race Halladay basically has no reason to really try any more and his next 2 starts will most likely be for 3/4 innings tops...if Wainwright wins Cy Young over Halladay it's a crime.

Should be dominating the IFA market, Cash.
Has anyone set up a pool for when Chapman's arm is going to break off at the elbow yet?
