I agree with everything except i have to admit Posey should get ROY.

First two Ranger playoff games are in the middle of the day...man I think I'm coming down with a 48 hour flu...on Wednesday...yeah...
Wow. You don't even know Neftali Feliz's name? lol gg
AL MVP: Cano
AL Rookie: Feliz because 40 fucking saves in Texas? Christ.
AL Cy Young: King Felix
AL Manager: Gardenhire for real. Most of the season without your All-Star 1B and with Mauer being meh in the power department?
NL MVP: Votto
NL Cy Young: Halladay
NL Rookie: Posey (I wanna say Heyward, but he struggled down the stretch)
NL Manager: Bobby Cox. My argument here? Sure, Dusty Baker took the Reds to the playoffs for the first time in years.. but do you see Cox's lineup? Their infield? Their power hnumbers? Their team leader in RBI? There's not a single stat that supports this team being in the playoffs other than good pitching by a few of their starters. They should be a .500 team at best this year to be honest, and it took an absurd record at home to save them.
Mauer was better than meh in the power department. Twins just decided to extend him after building a fucking pitchers park.
Well, when all is said and done I can't really be too upset with this season. Sure, the Sox missed the playoffs. They still won 89 games while being subject to injuries for virtually the entire season. The expected top two starters turned out to be the 3rd and 4th guys in the rotation, and the closer had the worst year of his career. To top it off, the Sox were eliminated early enough for me to pay more attention to the KBO playoffs! 롯데 자이언츠 화이팅!
God dammit.
Twins announce end to Morneau's season
Ehh they got this far without him. If you really were surprised that he'd be unavailable during the entirety of the playoffs, I have a giant billboard to sell you behind the stadium.
Couldn't resist:

Eh, it wont be empty for the playoffs lol. Its a shit hole of a stadium, a still newer team with no solid foundation of older fans that grew up with the team, mlb attendance in general is down, and its in st pete. Old people arent going to the games, still think it needs to be in Tampa.
Lee vs Price should be a great opening matchup, really curious to see what the rest of the rotation looks like. Still think Hellickson should start over Shields or Davis...who cares if hes young. Its do or die time right now, wont be the same team next year.
Bring on the Twins I say, you can have fun with the Rangers and their power righty bats!
Well, might as well make my playoff picks. See how badly I do at this.
ALDS:
Tampa Bay vs Texas. TB in 5, and will get 1 hit in game 4.
Yankees vs Twins. Yankee's in 4
ALCS:
Tampa Bay vs Yankees: Tampa Bay in 7
NLDS:
Phillies vs Reds: Phillies in 5
Giants vs Braves: Giants in 4
NLCS:
Phillies vs Giants: Giants in 7
World Series
Tampa Bay vs Giants:
Giants in 7 Then an earthquake will hit and California sinks....
What's the over/under on lines of coke Ron Washington will do if Texas makes it to the World Series?
oh god they set the playoff rotation, what the fuck why is Shields starting game 2 over Niemann. Ugh, sometimes I really don't get Maddon at all. Price>Shields>Garza>Davis.
Brian Wilson's beard now has its own facebook page.

I have a question for you Tampa fans. How far is it to get to St Pete from Tampa?
Depends on time of day, but assuming non rush hour it would take me about 45 minutes to get to Tropicana Field from USF. Gotta go across the Howard Franklin bridge and I275 in general can be pretty shitty, although it does tend to keep on moving except for a few spots in Tampa. Of course depends where in Tampa you are, populations are all pretty spread out and then all gotta funnel through 275 to get out to St Pete.
I dont go to Rays games because I'm a broke ass college student though, not because of the drive.
Ok, well that's the excuse I keep hearing from all you. You guys keep referencing St. Pete like it's an hour and a half away. Traffic occurs at every game, it's unavoidable so I don't like that reason. I can't fault you, but man, standing room tickets are what, 15$ can't even do that?
That estimate is also assuming no traffic issues, thats just normal time. I've been to a few Rays games this year, but after parking, gas, and actual ticket (not to mention if I want to eat/drink something, lets just say I wont) it gets to be a lot more than $15. Like I said, I'm a student though, I shouldnt be the demographic supporting a major league baseball team. St Pete is filled with old people in a lot of areas, and broke asses in all the others. Theres no normal group that would actually go to the games, I'd be really curious to see where the people are all from that go to games.
I should of course say that all that said, location is hardly the only issue and wont suddenly solve the attendance issues. Its a combination of it all of course, although I would wager that the pairing of it being a still relatively new team with no long standing tradition of success (last three years are it, their tradition is one of ineptitude) and the bad job climate leads to a lot of apathy and makes it difficult to go out and support.
