I had a one day a week class at the USF-St. Pete campus at 8 AM from USF (Monticello apartments if you know what I'm talking about Zoo) and that drive fucking sucks.

To go to a Rays game is really inconvenient for almost anyone not near the stadium.

Used to take me 90min - 2hours to see games at the old Vet or at Shea. 45min sounds like a cake walk.

Hell i used to live 30min from Giants stadium and that still took me about 90min.

Also, Rangers better make it to the world series if somehow a miracle happens with Atl, so we can have home field.

The problem with the Trop is that there is really only one avenue of approach for the games. You can't "go around the other way" because there isn't one. You can't drive through the bay. -.-

In my case, it's partially the drive - I don't drive across the bridge because my truck is old and I'm nervous it will break down where no one will come to get me - but it's mostly the money. I'm up to my ears in bills. I don't even come close to making enough to support the team as often as I'd like. The times I went to games this season, I did not buy the tickets. If I somehow managed to find a job that pays better to the point where I'd have a little extra money, I'd be much more inclined to go to the games. The papers keep saying that the economy is really bad in this part of the country. I don't know anything about that, but I do know that I'm poor as fuck, my friends are all pretty much broke, and I see panhandlers all over the fucking place so it must be at least somewhat true.

The drive most definitely sucks if you're trying to go to a 7PM game and you manage to find yourself right in rush hour traffic ... but while that's a deterrent (gas is expensive, yo), the biggest obstacle isn't that as much as it is the damn money. In my case, there is none. So I support my team from home, which is the best I can do.

I can't really defend my Reds pick other than they're the one team everyone is sleeping one and they play gritty baseball. They will score runs and be aggressive. I think it'll just take the Phillies by surprise in a short series.
