I don't know it's on porpoise but lol at still Hammels.
You can flip that you know, the Rangers have done everything in the series and only lead 2-1, things can change in a hurry
As for Lee and the Rangers "bidding whatever it takes" and holding onto him no matter what. Is it possible? Sure. The point is, for the Rangers to keep Lee, they're going to have to bid more than what the Yankees feel is the maximum contract for him. The Rangers may have a new TV deal coming, but the Yankees have as unlimited a resource pool as there is in the MLB. There have been stories in NY that the Yankees could easily push the payroll to 300m and still turn a profit because of how good sales were last year and how much money YES makes. So, basically, if the Rangers want Lee they're probably going to have to beat a 5 year 130-140m offer. If they give 6 years/160 or 5years/150 that would probably do it. But will they?
Coal Halmel is the best Phillies lefty since Lefty
hey skirk headspace told me that big ferg isnt as good as holiday and and cliff lee but that he is going to win the cy young out of pity. what say you
In the end, it's up to Lee where he goes. Hopefully the Rangers can make him feel wanted to the degree he wants to stay. It is near his home state after all.
Um how don't you know the guy that threw for a perfect game and is on your team? HOW DO YOU CALL YOURSELF A BASEBALL FAN.
They call him holiday because his presence is a gift to you.

The John Kruk episode of ATHF was genius. After Kruk came back from getting his testicle removed Harry Kalas asked him to not swing at the first pitch so he could avoid saying, "John Kruk with one ball."
And there's no way the Phillies lose the next three games considering they'll win today.
Let's say the Yankees are able to pull off the next 3 wins and get back to the World Series, I am concerned that with the struggles they had with Lee, how will they be able to compete with either the Giants or Phillies superior pitching? Holliday and Lincy scare me far more than Lee...

I'm so glad he was winning meaningless games in September. He'll be able to continue that trend for two more Septembers.
Hopefully he gets canned right around the time we clear a bunch of payroll and can actually build a decent team with Ryno.
