Let's say the Yankees are able to pull off the next 3 wins and get back to the World Series, I am concerned that with the struggles they had with Lee, how will they be able to compete with either the Giants or Phillies superior pitching? Holliday and Lincy scare me far more than Lee...

Cliff Lee is shutting down the best lineup in baseball. Who the hell is Doc and Girlylocks shutting down? I mean Cody Ross is going off in that series...

If a pitcher is on do you think it matters what offense they're facing? The Yankees punish mistakes and get grind out at-bats and maybe push out a starter earlier than other teams, that's the only difference. Halladay and Lincecum are human, they can throw up stinkers just like anyone else.

Hopefully the Yankees can actually do that starting tonight. Since September, their offense has been far from ideal.

Ugh, as dirty as I feel, (just took a shower, still feel gross) I wanted the Yankees to absolutely cream the Rangers, and especially Cliff Lee. It pains me to even say that I wanted the Yankees to win. But fuck, I really wanted to watch Lee get owned hard ... like so badly.

for once I agree with Headspace. I'm not rooting for anyone in the playoffs because it sucks, but I thought the Phillies could beat the Giants due to me liking their Big 3 moreso than the Giants Big 3. Either way.. how can Rays fans root for the Yankees, a division rival that the Rays actually hate, instead of the Rangers?

I'd root for both of them to lose, but that isn't possible. Only team winning that wont make me sick to my stomach is the Giants.

Its a lesser of two evils for me atm, and I guess I lean the Yankees instead of the Rangers because at least the Yankees will represent the division and because of George W Bush and all the douchebag Texans I know. At least the Yankees fans I personally know are alright and give props to the Rays (not generalizing, just the fans I know personally). That pic of Bush and Ryan when they were winning and then later when they were losing warms my heart every time.

I fucking hate the Yankees, and I've posted multiple times I don't want them to win. I have never wanted the Yankees to win. I am rooting for the NL in the World Series this year, regardless of who gets there.

The only reason I wanted the Yankees to win last night was because Cliff Lee was pitching. That's it. For all other games between the two teams, I'm indifferent.
