2010 MLB Season Discussion

I fucking hate the Yankees, and I've posted multiple times I don't want them to win. I have never wanted the Yankees to win. I am rooting for the NL in the World Series this year, regardless of who gets there.

The only reason I wanted the Yankees to win last night was because Cliff Lee was pitching. That's it. For all other games between the two teams, I'm indifferent.

So you hate Cliff Lee more than you hate the Yankees? So if Cliff Lee played for the Rays and pitched against the Yankees, you would want the Yankees to win because you hate Cliff Lee more? Yup, that's exactly wait you're saying. No more, no less.

No. You're blowing it way out of proportion. He just basically destroyed the Rays in the playoffs and I'd like to see him lose a game in the playoffs. I don't hate him as a person, and as a pitcher, he's great. Very talented. Wouldn't you want cliff lee to continue being dominate? At least that's how I'd feel so I wouldn't feel as bad about getting destroyed by him, if my team were in the playoffs. If he sucked it up against the Yanks, then it would make the Rays look worse.

Well the Rays have never been a spectacular hitting team, the Yanks on the other hand can make a pitcher cry. Lol. Like I said, it's just a bit of (somewhat irrational, I understand this) anger that will probably wear off by the time the World Series is played.

And honestly, the Rays were embarrassing in the playoffs, no matter how you slice it.

And why does everyone have to say after a game like this that the Phillies offense sucks? Why can't anyone admit that they were simply dominated by three great pitchers? If Halladay was pitching that game, everyone would be all over his cock about how great he was and would never mention the other team's offense.

It's a combination of both, but... the Phils have been horrid at scoring runs all year. They'll put up crazy crooked innings and then not score a run for 3 games. That's how they are and it's only amplified by the pitching of the Giants.
