Helped me out too.
I knew the defense wouldn't be as good. 1st place schedule, no improvement on D-Line. Took Ced Ben out of the game (for my opponent) and they kept feeding it to chad.
Things that should have been that never will be... *sobs*

lol, usually those things never see the light of day
At least someone had the sense of humor to put them at half-staff.
Most of the clothing made up for championships that never happened end up getting sent to refugees in Africa.
Yea, majority of clothes donated to salvation army, goodwill, etc and those worthless sports shirts above get SOLD to Africa in huge bundles. Interestingly, this is a massive reason why no textiles industries can get going in a lot of Africa, because they cannot compete with these dirt cheap clothes that are undercutting an entire industry. This also sends more money out of Africa, which is also a big problem. Something to chew on next time you wanna go donate clothes :D
Edit: And going with Giants in 6.
I'm quite sure they're made well in advance. I'm sure there are Twins and Rays World Series championship shirts around somewhere.
So Ceph, how much do you think your boy should get? I agree the 7 million range was fair considering his decline this year but if he gets 20 million because of his past success....yeesh.
3/60 or 4/80 is my guess, if you think he's getting paid for what he is (a solid yet declining offensive shortstop) instead of what he means to the Yankees you should probably just dismiss that thought right now. The Yankees will not do anything to offend Derek Jeter, they just won't. This isn't George running the Yankees anymore, who pissed of Winfield and Yogi. The Yanks are run much more like a business, and keeping El Capitan around is good business. He's going to be the guy who shows up to every Yankee event after he retires, from opening day to old timers day etc etc. They aren't going to ruin that. Also, his 3000th hit (probably going to happen around late May/early June, get your tickets now!) is going to be an ENORMOUS event and ratings grabber. If you thought the A-rod 600 thing was bad, just wait til Jeter gets into the 2990 range and ESPN breaks in to tell you about each infield single he gets.
The issue with the contract is years not dollars, and how long Jeter thinks he can play (read: longer than he actually can) and how long the Yankees want him to play. They're also going to have to bring up a position change sometime, within the next 2-3 years you're going to see A-rod move to DH, Jeter to 3rd, and them go out and sign or bring up an athletic shortstop.
Most of the prediction's I've heard around various Baseball sites think he's gonna get somewhere around 3yr/$40-45 mil, but I wouldn't totally be shocked to see him get $20 mil/yr.
The shirts being sold/sent to Africa reminds me of a joke. Some guy in Africa thinks that The Buffalo Bills were the greatest Football team ever.
As for the Jeter thing, the Yankees have to give him whatever he wants. Jeter is a class act and I'm sure he won't try to ask for anything retarded. He isn't a 20m a year player but he's a 20m a year person, if that makes any sense. A contract will be reached and whatever it is, will be fair I'm sure. Jeter is the face of the Yankees from now to 20+ years from now. He's what our generation sees as a Yankee.
I consider myself to be a 20m a year person. Get me an agent!
if the Yankees over pay to keep Jeter on the team, how will they afford Votto in 3 years?
We have a better 1B already sorry
As if the Yankees are gonna wait for Votto. Prince will be a FA first.
And by the time Votto gets his 3rd MVP (AKA IN 2 SEASONS), Tex will be another injury away from Brett Favre, and Prince will probably be too fat to function.
