I never said his stats were better, just that they were good. He's a solid pitcher with great strikeout potential.

Stats aren't everything.

Stats are great but they aren't predictive, so even an average pitcher like Lewis can shutdown any given team on any given night. It doesn't mean he's better than Sanchez or Bumgarner.

But I should use ERA+ over the season instead? Ok, fine, Timmy's is 119 in 2010; therefore, he shouldn't have been pitching ahead of Sanchez and Bumgarner.

I have a good feeling going into game 4. Bumgarner has pitched well on the road all year and even the Giants pathetic offense should be able to put up pretty good numbers against Tommy Hunter. We really only need to win one in Texas to give us a great shot to win the series and I think this will be the game.

Yeah, he's been horrible so far in the NLCS and the World Series. We need to sit him, but the problem is do you start Aaron Rowand or Nate Schierholtz in his place? Neither have been great so far. This is probably what I would go with tomorrow, though:

His defense is amazing at first and he's hitting .286 against righties this year. I think those two things make him more valuable than Sandoval right now.
