Yeah Rolen is kind of a headscratcher. I figured if someone was to beat Polanco, it'd be Zimmerman. Funny that three Reds won and Bruce didn't.

Eh whatever, those awards are pretty lulz worthy anyways.
He played 132 reg season games
Dave Niehaus passes away at 75.
The guy was the radio broadcaster for the first pitch in franchise history in 1977, and was the lead announcer up until the last pitch of 2010. I grew up listening to this guy; even more so than Ken Griffey Jr. or Edgar Martinez, this guy was the Seattle Mariners.
"My Oh My"
"Fly, Fly Away"
"Get Out the Rye Bread and the mustard Grandma, it's Grand Salami time!"
This play is my single favorite play in all of my 35 years of watching sports, and it just wouldn't be the same without his play by play.
Posey wins NL ROY, getting 20 of 32 first place votes.

Someone left Posey off the ballot, lolz

People buy the baseball 2k series?
Grats to Posey, well deserved.
I thought that Heyward deserved the ROY, but I'm certainly not complaining. Brandon Belt is going to win in next year, by the way.
I'd love to buy the Roy Halladay 2K11 baseball game... If the 2K11 version is any good.
Where are we going to fit him in though assuming we resign huff? Unless we trade DeRosa, we are looking at an outfield of DeRosa/Torres/Ross with Huff at first. Of course if DeRosa is still hurt or is traded, or we don't resign Huff (a travesty if this happens) than it's a moot point.
Roy's our boy
I have no faith whatsoever that DeRosa is ever going to play baseball again. He had one surgery on his wrist and it didn't fix anything and the doctors had no idea why and then he found a doctor who thought he knew what was wrong and so he had a second surgery on his wrist and he's still yet to start swinging a bat again. Plus, if he does come back healthy, I have a feeling that he's going to start at third. Sabean has already said that if Pablo doesn't get into shape by the spring that he's going to start the season in Fresno. Belt has already started playing some outfield, so it wouldn't surprise me to see him in left field next year. He has great baseball instincts, a great arm (he was originally drafted as a High School pitcher who could throw 95), and he has average speed.
Hmm to start the rookie in left or the self proclaimed best athlete on the giants. Yea I read about pablo and if he's still a fat ass getting demoted. Love the guy, has great potential but he can't play in the shape he's in. Didn't he report to spring training heavier this year then last year as it was cause it showed in his production.
