I've been reading Nats blogs all afternoon and man they do not like us Philly fans at all. I guess I can't blame them really. I still remember when Red Sox fans took over our park a few years ago and it was just horrible. It doesn't help that they actually advertise their home games with us on the radio up here.

That being said I'm planning a trip down there for the September 27-29th series, hopefully going to 2 games if possible. I promise not to get drunk and make an ass of myself.

What is this TCN bullshit for Phillies games? I have Comcast, but I don't even think I get that channel... FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.

Its channel 99 on FIOS and I can't get it for some reason, even though its listed under my package on the website. My channel guide is saying its supposed to be on Comcast Sportsnet but the website is saying TCN.

I just now looked at the TV schedule and only 3 games will be on TCN, which isn't too bad. Guess I'll have to find a stream somewhere.

According to the website it's supposed to be channel 8/201 for me and 64 is TCM... Both of which are static. Fuckers.

The Giants are 3-0! Best record in baseball! I know, it's early, but I think our next series against the Braves is going to be a real fun one to watch. We may have swept the Astros, but not everything is perfect for us:

Sox and Yanks finally got 9 innings played in under 3 hours... so of course they have to go to extra innings.

Eh, it's cool. This has been kind of a shitty game anyway. Both starters, although more so Pettite, got squeezed by the ump. Chan Ho Park gave up about 2000 feet worth of fly outs. Ortiz got both a hit and an RBI. It's like a funhouse mirror version of baseball.

EDIT: Papelbon trying to hold a runner... what's the world coming to?

Granderson is going to have a hell of a season if he ever figures out how to hit lefties.

Decent outing from Hamels. 5 innings 2 earned, not fantastic but pretty good. Looking forward to Kendrick today and finally a steady flow of baseball. Whoever had the idea to put a day off after Opening day can gtfo!

There’s also a reason Ryan Howard averages 50 home runs a season since he entered the bigs. It’s because he pounces on mistakes from shitty right handed pitchers.

And while we’re at it, Jason, there’s also a reason why you’ve been on four teams in the past five years. It’s because you’re a shitty right handed pitcher.

Nothing Marquis said there is wrong. It's not even insulting.

And nothing I said there was wrong either. He's still a shitty pitcher.

We resent them because they were nowhere to be found a few years ago. When the Nats first came back, we'd see a few hundred Phils fans at RFK. Win a World Series, and suddenly everyone who ever stepped foot in PA, NJ, or DE is suddenly a diehard. It's like the Red Sox phenomenon all over again.

I've got some friends from near Philly living in DC, guys who have been going to Phils games in DC since '05. They hate the bandwagoners even more than we do.

We know that 90% of this new "Phillies Nation" didn't give a shit about the team when they were losing. Historical attendance numbers don't lie.

Well saying the only reason a guy can hit is because pitchers throw bad pitches is a tad insulting (and completely wrong considering the numbers he puts up). The part about holes in his swing is true, but its also true for all hitters. He also has to deal with that ridiculous shift too, but it is his own fault for not being able to hit pitches the other way consistently.

I found the part about how he watches all this tape on Howard, yet failed to realize that the pitch he threw was right in one of his "holes" (outside part of the plate), pretty funny. Sounds like he was just frustrated about his outing, which is understandable.

Also the pose/bat flip from Howard after the dinger last night was bush league. That's like celebrating after hitting a home run off a retarded kid. I hope someone on the Nats plunks him tonight. Sadly, I know they won't. Phils might actually improve this year on their 15-3 mark against the Nats from last year.
