I see Heyward is 0 for 3 with 3 K's today. I watched the last game and he seems way too anxious at the plate and swung at a bunch of bad pitches. Somebody needs to tell him to settle down and look for better pitches instead of hacking at everything he sees.

Yep, tis what I said. He's looking like a big time rookie right now. He needs to put all that hype in the back of his mind and get back to the game. He got a walk earlier, so that'll help, but still. Breaking ball inside is fooling him bad.

I think if you look back (which you don't have to, obviously).. I said something like .265ish, around 15-20 HR, and like 60-70 RBI maybe?

It's been stated in numerous sources (aside from Posada visiting the mound 8 times in one inning in Game 4 of last years series) that mound visits and constantly asking for time weren't even outrageous, especially in the most recent series. Joe west was quoted as saying "It's pathetic and embarrassing. They take too long to play." decipher that how you want, but many people around baseball are saying that he's suggesting the style of play between both clubs, IE working the count waiting for the correct pitch to hit is what he's arguing about.

I'm in agreement with MLB, the average baseball is game fairly long to begin with and the Yankees v Sox are always long games, no matter what. But if you're going to call them out on how long their games are played, don't try to use mound visits and constant time outs as the problem.

Well the mound visits and constant time outs are part of the problem like I said. It's something the umps have control of but don't do enough to actually curb it. If the umps would also be more reasonable with their strike zones it would help a lot. Some umps just plain squeeze the zone when they get annoyed. It'll get fixed by the league, and the umps should keep their mouths quiet until the league makes a ruling then they can enforce it. That's just my opinion though. I think an ump has no right to say anything. If they got a grip it goes to the MLB to get fixed not the media.

Ahh.. nothing like a two game losing streak because your team can't score. I love it.

Sure it's only 4 games, but this will be consistent all year. Last year they could score well with two outs, this year they can't score at all with two outs. It's pitiful. Sure the Braves played without Chipper (who's hurt, go fig) and most of the game without McCann, but seriously.. bases loaded and you can't score? Really? Ugh. And now they get uh.. Wellemeyer? And then Lincecum. Maybe we'll get 1 out of 3 in this series..-.-

Not gonna win the East or Wild Card without scoring more than 3-4 runs.

I normally don't pay any mind until game 40. Under Cox, Braves have always had around a 20-20 record to start a season. Last season Escobar and Diaz seemed to always drive in the runs in scoring position. Heyward will get himself sorted out. It's not like he could be any worse than Church was last year. They just have to win close games because they're not gonna blow anyone out often

Oh and i really dislike Infante. Hate when he starts. Hinske should have started at third, just to get his bat in the line-up.

There's just no pleasing some people. Ibanez had a great game yesterday and now it's "Victorino is slumping". How is crushing a ball right at people slumping? More like awesome defense by Michael Bourn who ran god knows how far to track down a ball near the warning track in center to rob Victorino of what probably could have been an easy triple and at least a double.

Edit: When I said track down I didn't mean it as a weak fly ball, Victorino scorched it.
