but yea, $55mil is a drop in the bucket in Yankeeland.

My bad I confused them, Vizcaino was indeed the prospect.

And Tulo says he does it for the children.

I remember when walk up songs were similar to what closers use, to intimidate the fuck out of the opposing team. When you hear Enter Sandman or Hells Bells come on, you know whose coming out. The Shaft Theme for Bonds was also entertaining and fit for Bonds.

I have spent countless hours pondering what my walk-up song would be if I was in the majors.

My difficultie with those thoughts when I was in little league is that I mainly listen to Metal and Hard Rock so half the stuff I like would be censored. I think I settled on either Walk by Pantera or Run to the Hills by Iron Maiden.

I've had lengthy debates with my friends about walk-up songs, and whether or not every guy picks their own, or if the guys who don't care just let them play whatever top 40 song is big at the time. I was at a Pirates/Cubs game in Pittsburgh a couple years ago, and two or three of the guys had "Yeah" by Usher/Lil' Jon as their walk-up, and they were guys like Ty Wiggington and Xavier Nady (can't remember exactly who) which only fueled the debate even more. But if Tulo did pick "Party In the USA" then maybe they really do just pick what the kids want to hear.

My walk-up song would be "Last Nite" by the Strokes. Never gets old.

At least on the Yankees, they are able to request their own songs, and most do. If they don't request anything, I think one of the scoreboard guys behind the scenes picks one for them.

Last year all the bullpen guys would warm up to a different Metallica song as a tribute to Mariano, I thought that was pretty cool.

This just reminded me of how pissed off I am that they use that Lil Jon/Trick Daddy song that samples "Crazy Train" instead of the original Crazy Train like they used to for Chipper.

"Loser" by Beck never gets old and has a really signature opening. I think it would be killer. Aside from the fact it's about being a loser. "Intervention" by the Arcade Fire ("Wake Up" would be a popular choice too). Or a good Ted Leo song. Maybe his cover of "Suspect Device." I could probably spend an hour going through my music looking for 30 seconds worth of gold. Or an old wrestler theme song. Bret Hart would be awesome, or Mr. Perfect. A-Rod can walk up to Ted DiBiase's theme song.

What's it matter? He's hardly out there to begin with

Also, so pissed I didn't start Liriano today, but eh. I had reasonings behind it. I wanted to see if he was consistent. Gonna sit him his next start too until I see a little consistency out of him. He was a value pick anyway.

I loved when Pat Burrell came out to "Holy Diver" by Dio.

Okay, I'd use the theme from Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter: Hammerhead's "Everybody."

And I realize MLB would never allow it, but it's awesomely bad.

    Rangers do the same.

Batters will even have different walkup music for RBI situations at times. My favorite of that bunch was the Godfather theme for David Dellucci.

I had Phil Hughes going today. This is funny because I said he wasn't all that great, yet I drafted him in fantasy baseball. Eh, needed some K's.. he was drafted super fucking late, so why not.
