I'm not even gonna say a word, i'm just going to sit in my corner and be annoyed.

I've been watching the Braves for years, and more importantly.. as of late. I know a thing or two about how they (and many other teams, for that matter) work, young whippersnapper.

I give Nolasco credit, he got a ton of fly ball outs when the wind was blowing in at a steady 20+ mph from the outfield all game.

He pitched for contact, nobody told them to swing at them! Keep it on the ground because apparently it got us 2 runs.

Major props to Jimenez for pitching a gem. Went through some rough points with the six walks, but still made the Braves hitters look stupid.

    Grats on the no no.

Mets and Cardinals going to the 17th inning still tied at 0-0. Ludwick thrown out on a stupid base running mistake to end the 16th.

Heh, been a Braves fan longer than most of the people on this forum have been alive!

Props to Jimenez also. Think this is the second no hitter against us that i can remember in the last 20 years or so. Randy Johnson being the other. I'm sure i'm forgetting one though.

Props to Jimenez. Didn't take very long for the first no-no this year.

Yep. The one before that was way back in '79.

I don't think LaRussa has ever fucked up a game this badly. One little double switch ruined three straight prime opportunities to win this game, then led to this.

Lopez pitching is just a fucking laugh riot. I really wanted to see him get a strikeout.

I was switching between the no-no and this. This shit's just been hilarious.

I only had McCann/Chipper go 0fer for me, so not too bad, though my average is still terrible today.

Not to nitpick, but the first season in DC (2005) the Nats were actually in first place half way through the season. We were 51-30. But we faded down the stretch and actually finished at .500 and at the bottom of the standings. But it actually wasn't a bad season considering how bad MLB and the other owners raped our team and farm system. I went to at least half the home games that year, and it was a lot of fun.

This year's team will surprise people. Dunn still hasn't hit a home run, and the pitching has been shit, but we're not playing that poorly save for a few throwaway games. And the record is definitely amazing considering we spent the first two weeks of the season as cannon fodder for the Phils.
