Dude, John Maine might actually get a good start tomorrow with all the hitters so fucking gassed from this game rofl.

So Ludwick got caught at home plate with his head up his ass..... then caught stealing what could have been tie run and then followed by game winner.
Oh please let this game keep going
Yesss, what a win for the boys. Maybe now they'll stop playing like shit so they won't have to endure anymore beer league games.
Jesus, finally. And honestly.. the Cards didn't have to use any of their starters for anything other than playing LF, lol. The Mets had to go to Pelfrey. Surprised he didn't blow it.
Lol me too. Although he's been pitching great the last two games. I think he's finally starting to hit his stride, although pitching him here probably wasn't the best idea. The mets shoulda had jeff pitch, hes got a canon after all.
I was watching the ticker on the Mets/Cards game... yikes lol. I thought the Phillies offense was quiet tonight.
I think Bay might kill himself if he doesn't get a hit soon. He looks fucking FRUSTRATED lol.

It's going to be a hell of a battle this year especially when you throw in the two Cardinals pitchers and other guys who have the potential if they have a career year like Cain, Jimenez, and Haren.
DE-FENSE! huh huh DE-FENSE! huh huh DE-FENSE! huh huh DE-FENSE! huh huh
Not sure how this was over shadowed by the 20 inning game at Busch Stadium, but congrats to Jimenez(sp?) on the no-hitter.
If you look at the box score you kind of have to think it was pretty pathetic and judging by some comments here and other sites it was pretty hilarious. 2-runs on 9 hits and 8 walks for the Mets and 1 run on 15 hits and 11 walks for the Cardinals. It's not like it was some super pitchers duel once the starters left.
6 walks is pretty bad for a no-hitter too.
Well Iwatched until the 8th inning, when the Cav's game started and it was just really good pitching by Sanchez/Santana, at that point the cardinals had 4 hits and mets only one.
I didn't know it was even on national TV but I looked and I guess it wasn't on the guide it had been on so long. Besides, 7 hours of Joe Buck and Tim Mccarver is probably enough to make your ears bleed, even if they're sucking cock for the team you are rooting for.
Yush, I wanted to add those walks into there.
Yeah it was broadcasted on Fox as their Saturday game.
Jaime Garcia actually had a no hitter through 5 in the cards game. At that point I think the hitters had given up. The first hit was a broken bat bloop by Pagan and then they kept getting occasional hits. Santana pitched very well towards the end because he had thrown 54 pitches in the first 2 innings and then managed to go 6.
The Mets offensive has been asleep the last few games but the cards couldn't do shit either with Pujols or Holliday so I don't feel too bad.
I wish I could have watched that 20 inning game. One of the most memorable games I've ever played in was a 15-inning Legion game. So many stupid/fun/silly things seem to happen during games like that. From reading about this game and the player's reactions, it sounds like it was great.
