Heyward is 1 for his last 12, bringing his line to .250/.373/.518 with 4 HRs and 16 RBI. He has multiple clutch hits and I couldn't be happier with how he has played. As for the rest of our team, what the fuck. I don't know if the problem is Terry Pendleton, our guys sucking, or our guys just slumping horribly but our offense is pathetic.

From what I see watching as a Mets fan, it just seems like lazy play on the part of the braves. Happened to the Mets last year and early this year. They are getting their opportunities and just not capitalizing. On top of that they are making simple mistakes that end up costing them runs.

On that note, Jerry Manuel's crazy Reyes batting third experiment is actually working and I look forward to see more of these late inning runs.

Oh, Heyward didn't play today? I thought he did, that's why I said 0/16 or whatever as I figured he went 0fer.

Oh, actually he went 1-3 today, so he's 2 for his last 15, has a line of .254/.380/.508 with those 4 homers and 16 RBI. So yeah, he's got the team lead in RBI by far and has done pretty well considering he's a rookie. Needs to work on not striking out so much, though. 22 strikeouts in 56 at bats is quite bad.

    http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/M...m-April-040310

Also yeah. If this were to happen, I'd be pissed. I know it's Bobbie's last year, but I hope to god they don't overreact again and trade off their future for another half year rental in A-Gon. :/

    And one more thing: http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/...r&type=Batting

That's Troy Glaus's career splits. He's a notoriously GOOD April/May hitter.. with the rest being his lowest averages. So if he continues this terrible run of non-hitting, it could just signal he's done.

The problem is Heyward's been hitting 7th and not really getting anything to hit since automatic out Melky bats 8th, so he's been walking a lot. I've watched every single game but 1 this year so far and i have to say, their timing on fastballs is way behind. Yes they lead the majors in walks, but they also keep swinging and missing on fastballs down the middle and not driving in any of those walks.

Yeah, I think Heyward's a guy that should be batting 5th or 6th at least. I'd say even higher now since Chipper's hurt, dunno for how long. I'd keep McLouth or Prado batting first, one of them second, probably Chipper 3rd (when he comes back), McCann 4th (he'll start hitting soon hopefully), Heyward 5th.. and then after that, I don't even care. Hinske/Glaus 6th, Escobar 7th, their batboy 8th, and pitcher 9th.

I'm hoping they learned their lesson with the Wainwright trade. I'm still pissed off about that one. I do really like Gonzalez, he's only 27, so i wouldn't mind seeing Freddie Freeman traded if we can get him and sign him. Absolutely not if he's just gonna be a rental.

I don't want a trade for Adrian Gonzalez unless we don't have to give up much, we are much more than 1 bat away from being competitive. Then again if we can get him signed long-term like Alderaan said he could hold down first base and the 3/4 spot for 5-6 years at least.

Heyward has been striking out a ton but I kind of expect it since he gets so deep into counts and has so few at-bats against quality pitching.

Yeah, if he were a trade for a while, sure.. but not a rental. I don't want another trade like the Tex one. Hell.. three of those guys in that deal play for the Rangers in their major league system. Feliz, Andrus, Harrison.. and actually Salty too, though does he start? Not sure.

Ugh i forgot about Saltalamacchia. He'd probably be playing first and we'd still have Wainwright throwing fiyah. Salty's been on the DL with the Rangers with a shoulder or something.

So has ESPN and the rest of the national media turned on Heyward yet after those first couple of weeks? Not to say he's bad or that I like him but it seems like they were building and building and building... and building then as soon as he does something bad they can call him out.

Anyone see the end of the Twins-Royals game tonight? Posednik was called out at second even though it was safe by a mile... will try to find a clip. One of the worst calls I've seen in a long time.

The "dropped" ball by the D-Backs outfielder didn't seem like a very good call and I can be pretty darn biased. Resulted in a 4-base error and a run for Jayson Werth.

Seriously. Worst for sure. The ump just wanted to end the game and get out of the monsoon, but yeah the call was absolutely brutal. Twins players were laughing and putting their gloves over their faces after the call...

Yeah, it's too bad a game like that was ended by a terrible call.

Huh? No, they're pretty much still sucking his dick, lol. He's a 20 year old rookie who may only be hitting .254ish, but has an obp of what.. .380ish? Best slugger of the Braves, which is sad because of how terrible the Braves are.

But nah, the worst thing they've said so far is he strikes out a lot, but that's to be expected.

Here's that blown call in the Twins/Royals game. It's pretty cool how they have the calls from both team's TV and radio teams. I don't watch replays much on MLB.com much, do they do that often?

Bad ending for a crazy game. It was an April game vs. the f'n Royals, but I found myself fist pumping for things like a sacrifice bunt turned single. Good times.

Holy fuck if that ump is ever in another game I'd be very disappointed.
