Seriously, Vazquez is throwing 85-89 mph and blew a 3-0 lead, can't even get through the fucking 4th inning. I'd rather be watching Joba in the rotation than this loser. Personally I think Atlanta knew something was wrong with this guy for his stuff to be THIS bad.
What the fuck Girardi, seriously. Aceves is cruising along, you bring in Marte to face the heart of the Angels lineup. Two men get on. Robertson, our best arm in the pen outside of Mo, is ready. You tell Marte to IBB Morales... then decide no, go ahead and pitch to him, and serve up a 3 run HR. wtb a manager who knows what the fuck he's doing.

Guess nobody caught this
Girardi likes to overmanage ala Tony LaRussa.
I honestly never understood why managers yank relievers who are pitching well for the sake of a better matchup. Considering how volatile they are I think it would be wiser to stick with the hot hand myself.
Eh, I can't complain too much, the Yanks are 12-6 on a trip that saw them play the Rays, Red Sox, Texas, and Anaheim twice, where they only played 6 games at home and included a west coast swing... can't wait for them to get back to the Bronx
Prado went 0-5 yesterday at leadoff.. so he's gonna use Melky? really? Lol.
And of course the bases were loaded.
Chipper is gonna kill their defense playing with that bad hip. That was a routine play. I hope it doesn't rain out. Had tickets, but I'm glad I didn't go lol, my dad and my brother went instead D:
Well I don't blame that play completely on Chipper, really. Was raining bad at the time, slick ball, hard stop on the ground, and Bay runs well so he rushed it. David Wright would have had issues with that.
"Big hitters coming up next for Atlanta" made me chuckle.
IT'S A MAGIC TRICK LOL. I love this guy.
le sigh...
At least it's an official game lol. Now Valdez might not have to keep pitching <3
The Mets and Braves seriously play the sloppiest, most boring baseball I've ever seen. Throw in a rain delay and the steak shack at Citi is probably more exciting than the game has been
Mets have actually been playing really good ball lately and it's the only reason they've been winning. The rain really messed with Pelfrey's groove though because he looked like shit today, though he does keep his scoreless inning streak going. I've actually been entertained by some of braves errors last few games though lol.
This is more of a random complaint than anything, but can McCann stop walking and start driving in runs? Man it's frustrating to watch Braves games.
Braves sacrificing so many good pitches to hit in order to draw so many walks and not drive anyone in. At no point in the past 20 years have they looked this bad. The pitching is there to win.
Pretty sure they were terrible in the 80s.
Wtf, so what exactly are they doing with the Braves and Mets game if it does start up again, nothing? Fucking ESPN.
