It's not like the Phillies didn't hit a handful of balls hard off Lincecum... Howard's home run, Howard's almost second home run, Werth's smash that went to triples alley, Utley hit a few hard balls as well.

I was watching a game on ESPN or whatever channel it was, Pelfry had a fuck ton of baserunners and only went 5 innings. Sort of what Happ's was doing before he got sent to the DL, wonder if he's going to get a start or two this homestand. Blanton is supposedly back Monday and Lidge back Friday. Close to 3 weeks since J-Roll was put on the DL too.

Let's just remember how everyone was all over the Braves and then the Phillies won 2 out of 3 sent them packing onto an 8-game losing streak. Sorry Aki!

Pelfrey's last start was his worst but the conditions weren't ideal. He couldn't get a feel for his pitches and neither could Hanson. Pelfrey was visibly bothered by the conditions though and prior to that he really hasn't been in any trouble which is why he's pitched so well.

I don't expect him to shut the phils out, but with the way he's pitching, I wouldn't expect him to give up anymore than 3 runs. That should be enough with Kendrick pitching, but we'll see. Pelfrey has been a different pitcher since he learned that splitter. Even if he does give up more than 3 we'll get a quality start out of him. I'm only worried about Neise because he's had a ton of runners on base lately and hasn't pitched extremely well but he's made his way out of trouble. D:

Ah you're right, it's Neise and Kendrick and Halladay and Pelfrey, I had it backwards. The saturday game is gonna be a pitchers dual then ! D: Though Halladay got roughed up last outing by an offense worse than ours, so I look forward to that.

True Yankees, Regular Yankees To Now Wear Different Uniforms

NEW YORK—The New York Yankees unveiled a new, lesser uniform at a press conference Tuesday in an effort to distinguish ordinary, run-of-the-mill Yankees from the "true Yankee legends who walk among us." "To have Javier Vazquez don the same pinstripes as Mariano Rivera or Jorge Posada is…well, it's unthinkable," Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said as Curtis Granderson modeled the sterile, black-and-white uniform with a large, boxy, non-interlocking "NY" stitched across the front of the chest. "The untrue Yankees will wear a blank, unfitted ball cap until they have their big Yankee moment. They'll wear their last names on the backs of their lesser uniforms as a badge of shame." When asked which uniform he was assigned, Alex Rodriguez cried for 10 minutes.

I dunno, social anxiety problems was what kept him out of the league for so long right? I'm not sure he could handle playing in a mid-market area like LA or Seattle, let alone New York/Boston/Philly/etc

I think he'd do fine in a mid market team honestly. If he went to NY/Philly/Boston he'd probably crack like a nut, but I could see him doing well. He's taking meds to help control his anxiety, and honestly if you can handle pitching against mid/large market teams that sell out every game and will ride you hard to throw you off your game, you can deal playing on a mid market.

Hell in my little dream world i'd love to see a current rotation that went Lincecum > Greinke > Zito > Cain > Sanchez but that's a story for another time.
