    Real Madrid 0 - 2 Barcelona

    - Lionel Messi

    -Pedro

Was a boring match to be honest, Barcelona were clearly superior but if Vaart could score that easy shot it might've ended different.

And this probably ends Pellegrini's career in Madrid.

Hell with a stoppage time goal like that, everyone was wanting to kiss Scholesy... Neville just got there first.

Wigan Vs Arsenal was a pretty exciting match for the last 15minutes, wigan went from 2-0 down to come back 3-2 for the win, they displayed some pretty impressive skill for a bottom half EPL team.

This completely shuts the coffin on Arsenals race for the title, just need Man U to be perfect for the rest of the season, and for Chelsea to fuck up somewhere.

Chelsea just need to see off the last three matches. Stoke home, Liverpool away and Wigan home. I'm anxious as hell for the weekend to come...

Is anyone else as excited about this Barca v Inter shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii that is about to start in 10 mins as I am?

I am hoping for a very good game here, two great managers and some damn fine players. My fingers are crossed for Barca, but I do hope that it isn't a raping... I want to have a reason to watch the whole damn game. 3 - 0 at halftime tends to get a little meh sometimes.

Interesting turn of events for Bayern... stupid mistake from Ribery, and they just lost one of their best for the next game and a half. Ooooops.

Barça is going to have to give it all in the Camp Nou, I didnt see that 3-1 coming, Inter did really good, indeed.

Its a tough time for Barça not only because of having to win 2-0 on their own camp (which it can be easy for them as they basically never, ever lose there, but if Inter plays like they did on their first encounter its going to be tough), but also because they are at the edge in the spanish league. They had been tied with Real Madrid for a long time, then Barça beat RM at their camp (0-2), which was supposed to pretty much seal the deal for them (keep in mind none of the two teams had been doing anything but winning for like 13 matches straight, destroying football history records)but this week they were tied in their match with spanyol while RM won, so they are just 1 pt ahead and there are still 5 matches left for each.

After winning every championship last year, Barça may very well end up with nothing this year, although they undoubtly can get revenge vs Inter and win the national league.

Across most seasons... it is a very tight race at the top spots. I love it. It may be the same handful of teams up at the top, but coming down to the last few games is pretty entertaining.

Always hate seeing the season 'end' with 5 games to go... =P

    Premier League
    Chelsea - 77 pts
    Manchester United 76 pts
    3 games remain

    La Liga
Barcelona 84 pts (+61 Goal Diff)
Real Madrid 83 pts (+58 Goal Diff)
    5 games remain

    Serie A
    Roma 71 pts
    Inter Milan 70 points
    4 games remain

    Bundesliga
    Bayern Munich 63 pts
    Schalke 61 pts
    3 games remain

    Ligue 1
    Olympique Marseille 68 pts
    AJ Auxerre 63 pts
    Lyon 59 pts
    Montepellier 59 pts
    LOSC Lille 58 pts
    Bordeaux 57 pts
    5 games remain

    Scottish Premier League
    Rangers 80 pts
    Celtic 69 pts
    ... yeah who cares right?

Those leagues should implement playoffs. It's anticlimactic to have a champ with a bunch of games left.

Lower leagues do have play-off matches. About the top league...well, competition generally continues until the final match except for Scottish league. Besides, UEFA has strict rules regarding which position/title will be granted continental competition qualification.

Scottish league is all about Ranger vs. Celtic and one ends up dominating the league so...yeah. Wish Hearts could keep up with them somehow.

I know last season, well post season, they (once again) tossed about the idea of bringing Celtic & Rangers into the EPL.

While I understand the idea... I think they would only mix up the middle of the table further but not break into the top 4. It would give the rest of the SPL something to look forward to at least =P
