Well the comment was well deserved, lol. Full Usu SAM is about as logical as full Crimson PLD in Salvage.

You still don't understand what's going on. He melee's in turban, usu body, dusk hands+1, haidate, usu feet. I guess reading is hard.

What's wrong with full usu for solo though? Massive eva boost for a minimal haste loss is pretty nice for /DNC.

SAM eva isn't bad if you have a real build, I had 80% dodge rate on hakutaku yesterday when I helped ath with it :<

Never said SAM eva was bad, you know as well as I do how much random shit I've eva tanked on MNK. But you could have had another 12% haste on during TP for a loss of 19 eva (3 head, 4 body, 1 hands, 5? legs, 6 feet) or 9-10%. Personally would go with the kill speed, but some of us are cursed with that low taru hp and need all the survivability they can get.

Taru or not, you only eva tank if you can't manage the mob through other means. PDT, MDT, seigan, utsusemi go a long way. There are very few examples where eva tanking on SAM is necessary, and it has drastically increasing returns on damage taken. If you can afford to sacrifice 10 evasion, you can sacrifice another 15 and use real DD gear. Alternatively, sheepfoe mambo is ~20 evasion and you can swap it for victory march for a better tradeoff than full usukane.

Full DD build -> Usukane is -20 eva -> +29 which is a massive increase in evasion with a minor damage reduction. Full Usukane -> Full eva is a gain of 19 eva, and a major loss in damage. I'm not saying Usukane is the best for everything, but if damage taken and kill speed are both of concern while you can at least get out of the eva floor, 5/5 seems like a pretty solid choice.
