I understand statistics, but I can tell from your posts you must have only been doing salvage the past year or maybe even 1 1/2. If you had been doing it since around when they added the start chest you might've had more experiences with 35's not dropping at all.
Can you post your drops/zones averages? I am really curious if what you say is true, because I am sure most people who have been doing salvage for a long time know exactly what I am speaking of when I say they have droughts in terms of 35's.
Not all groups are Hellscream's, Pchan's, or yours if you are telling the truth.
Went 1/1 on Macha's coat :3
If you understand the statistics then you understand the high stdev for anything salvage related allowing for bad and good streaks. I've gone 13 runs without a drop, but I've also gotten 11 35s in 4 consecutive runs. I've seen 5 coats in <30 kills each, and mine took over 200. Yes, it has it's ups and downs. That's what standard deviation is there to explain. It's not that random. Over enough runs, you'll average out to between 40 and 60% at getting a 35 on a given run, which is about every other run. Jesus Christ.
I think it just varies honestly. It seems to change for us all the time. You have spurts where you get a bunch from one zone, then nothing for a bit. The only thing thats really consistent for us is that SSR still puts out less than the others pretty much the whole way though, since we started doing salvage. But saying that, also had periods where we've had a lucky streak there. But at the same time, we've done so many runs that your bound to catch a lucky streak here or there eventually.
Just from my experiences with our group.
When we first did salvage, we got a shit ton of drops in BR. It was like when a new person joined the linkshell, you pretty much gave them a free complementary 35 usu feet and 35 mor hands. Then we went for a long dry spell where we saw no pops for a long time. It seemed like before the "BR mad bomber fix" we seen more nms pop and seen more nms drop. Now we seen a few nms after dry spell. But often it seemed like in the past (before the fix) that NM's dropped like 1/3 roughly. Now it seems like its more like 1/5.
AR I would say the drops are pretty common. I remember for a long time going into AR it seemed like it was rare to not see the chariot drop at least 1 35. Our group has not really had any problems with any of the NM's there. It seems like the drop rate off the QA is ridicolous at times in our group, seems like were always getting ares's body. The QTH is much more rare than the QA for our group, considering we get alot of 35 Ares Bodies and we generally skip the 2nd one because no one wants it. There has been some dry spells on QTH but we've still gotten probably 15+ macha coats.
ZR for us I would say is definately the most common. We've gotten a ton of pretty much every drop there. Macha Feet less than others but also because its more desired piece. But out of all the zones, ZR seems like it favors us the most. But even ZR hasnt dropped much lately for us. But we've had periods where it just seemed rare to not get at least 1 35 from there over a course of months.
SSR is probably still the most stingy for us. Doesnt seem to me they really increased the drop rate that much. But even saying that theres been periods where we got a bunch of drops in spurts. We havent seen mo legs in forever but was still a point in time where we got like 4 in a two week span. Usu head has never been a problem for us, get lots of those. Ares Legs are pretty common for us though. Last 5 runs in ssr have netted us 4. Usu Body is pretty rare but still had periods weve gotten several in a short amount of time.
Theres been times too where like no matter what, you can never get the 25's you need from the bosses as well. I've done like 25 LBC w/o a 25 mo body and like 30 AC without a 25 mo feet. But sometimes it just seems like you get what you need off the bosses.
The more you go the better off you're going to be and the "luckier" you will get. It eventually works out in the end.
Me and Toshiko's first run was Bhaf and there were 4 Cuffs in the same pool. :3
You can say it's possible that Morrigan Feet and Morrigan Robe would even out to the same number of drops per run so to compensate for 4 QQTHs, then 6F Madame should have a higher drop rate. I guess according to wiki this is true, but the thing is that while the QQTHs do have a rather low drop rate, it's not abyssal like pre-patch SSR or old Sozu.
If you assume a 4% drop rate on robe, that means you have an 15.1% chance of getting one robe each time you enter Arrapago with the possibility of getting multiple if you are lucky. I don't have the data to back it up obviously, but the drop rate on Morri shoes or ( any other 35 for that matter) just doesn't seem that high.
Posting about background checks in Ramuh, knows Snow(A remora linkshell that isn't noteworthy enough to know about on any other server) doesn't camp Kings, knows nothing about computers, and desperate to somehow prove me wrong about something he knows nothing about, and account made 3 days ago.
Yea, sure does smell like Uryuu.
I think the point to make here is that this is a video game, and being as such, is a series of numbers. Everything averages out over time, it's programed as such. Nothing is random when it comes to computers - no matter how much a developer will tell you it is.
Also, it's a series of tubes
am i hearing that QQTHs have the same drop rate as all other 35 dropping NMs? If there are more morri robes, it could be contributed to the fact that it's the most wanted item + it's in a zone where things actually drop so it's not hard to get help + the QQTH can be solo/duo'd. Or, they could have the same drop rate as the other NMs and there are just 4 of them per run.
It's pretty near impossible to prove either without having a sample size of around 1k QQTH + 1k other salvage NMs. Or is this just another one of those NOU arguments where it's not about being right, it's about trying to make someone else look dumb (umad) because someone has a small penis.
