Except for the fact that Tomoe is usually the best weapon for SAM for the first ~3 floor of most Salvage areas. This may no longer hold true with OAT GK, but, you don't have that. Again, pole grip where

I more prefer Soboro with Claymore Grip on the first few floors, then switch to Tomoe/Hagun accordingly.

Are you assuming a setup with no MNKs? Our SAM uses Soboro in lower Salvage to make Darkness with our 2 MNKs and this seems to work better than polearm, at least imo.
