Dalmatica/Manteel. 2003/2005 Both equally good or better but I guess some people still don't have that.

I'm confused why you are comparing Manteel to Marduk?
Apples and Oranges, one is a fastcast body, one is a debuff/idle body.

Unless of course you're casting your defbuffs in Manteel instead of Errant/Mahatma/Osode...

I'd have to side w/ Kirs on this, Thorny. Ares is pretty much the best body piece for DRG/WAR/DRK relic wpns. Incredibly useful for Steel Cyclone, as well.

Aurum and E.body? Give up ACC elsewhere or maintain a 6 hit without giving up other slots (grip / ring / ear / etc). Seems like it would be more beneficial. Also, Steel Cyclone would have to be useful to warrant getting Ares's cuirass for it.

That said, I use my cuirass whenever possible because it looks hooootttttt.

WS-wise for those wpns. I TP in Ebody but for MT, Ares is the best body.

Imo Arso>Marduk lol unless u .dat swap.. and also why have a Idle set/regen set on ur whm or w/e Honestly when I'm on WHM to anything (Maybe its just me) But I change gear a lot no time for idle gear tbh I'm either resting,Curing,Buffing all the time So I can never stay in one body piece or weapon.

It's not a matter of opinion, Marduk's Jubbah is a better idle piece. .DAT swap it if you don't like it.

STR+7 = about 1.5% damage from fstr if uncapped
att+18 @ 1.5 pdif = about 3.3% damage(you do merit with either a 2nd brd for mins or a cor for chaos, right?).. on things higher than merits you'll need the acc obviously

DA+2% = 122/120 = 1.67% tp and ws damage on war
107/105 = 1.9% tp and ws damage on drg/drk

make a trade that gets you basically anything anywhere else for the stp and that body everyone hates so much is better than ares

gungnir needs 24 stp, 15 /sam 5 rajas 1 brutal = 21.. bomb core + askar korazin > white tath + ares' cuirass + chiv chain.. can ws in what you want with askar setup as well(and aurum is a nice option as well for acc uncapped)

bravura needs 25 stp if you land an additional hit on the ws you're using, 27 if you don't want to count on that or use a 1hit ws.. /sam + rajas + brutal is still 21 stp, aurum cuirass finishes it up smoothly and askar body will finish it off if you don't feel you need a true 6hit

i can't honestly see a decent gungnir or bravura holder tping in ares body, carbonara is too much of a sacrifice unless you have a practical use for the hp as well

drg/mage is good forever with ethereal, pld has isolated uses for it but shouldn't really be using it that often either, at least not in places pld belongs

Ares gives about a 5% increase over ebody on MT. Honestly, price-wise, I prolly wouldn't do but it's the best piece to ws in for MT and for apoc.

i think that was my point, not very many people have bravura or apoc compared to people with marduk body mats and the ability to upgrade them :S it's all situational, though marduk's uses are more widespread than ares'

We are following some silly rumor that if you dont open chests, you have a better chance at drops.

i've yet to see this work so I can assume this is 100% BS?
