omg so happy![]()
haha, lol at the ultra, thats awesome!
Can't believe metas are still broken, pretty pathetic honestly. Was expecting more exciting features as well given they called this the first major balane AND feature patch but meh. For some reason I thought they'd do a little more than what was in the Situation report, but can't be mad they did what they said they'd do. Looking forward to trying the changes out a little later this week after tests finish!
Anyone who plays on mac unable to play? Have a friend who I was trying to play with earlier today and whenever he tried to connect, be it to co-op games, quick matches, or any other mode, it just wouldn't let him. Seemed really odd since I had no problems, so we figured it's cause they broke something mac related?
Fuck yes. LMFAO at dumbass Terran player, "Shit, I can't toggle auto repair and go make a sandwich!?" The epicenter of the splash being emanated from the structure they're attacking is fucking epic.
I have a feeling that might get changed..
Those were some boss Ultralisks. They were easily hitting 15+ SCV's at the same time. That's a good (15*0.33)*15 for the SCV's and 35 damage on the PF. Roughly 110 damage per hit (not including the Turret and Maruader it was hitting), nice!![]()
I was playing a PvP games earlier and came up with a mixed army of DT/Phoenix/observer. Phoenix were lifting off stalkers, dt were murdering anything on the ground, and observer were used to kill the other guy's observer (was sniping them with phoenix).
I'm curious if that strats is used occasionally, because I've never seen that mix before, and I cant think of many counter (outside pushing with canon)
that's like a bjillion gas...
I've done stalker pheonix, but not DT Phoenix ob, thats pretty awesome actually against toss, but hi to you gas
Kinda neat feature that you can start 1.0.3 patch replays with a 1.1.0 patch SC2 out of the box. Downside is that for some reason those replays are very choppy and the loading screen is fucked up (wrong aspect ratio).
I remember how fun Corsair + DT was in BW... Bisu style. However... that's way too much tech. You would have to start with something like 2gate+Robo or 2gate-Stargate into expand+Council into Shrine+Robo/Stargate (whichever you didn't get first) and probably pick up Zealot Charge on the way, cause you sure as hell aren't using Stalkers in a gas-heavy build like this. If at any point in the game you have to make a lot of Stalkers, Sentries, Immortals, or Void Rays to stay alive, then you might as well abort, cause you won't be able to get DTs on top of all that.
Curious to peoples counters as protoss against mass stalkers or marines. I usually do fine against them but lost a couple games today against a marine/maru massing, and one against like 4 gate stalker mass. I figure if I would have played slightly different than I had I could have beat either. Expanded too early and made a weak harass rush type of mistake. Anyway, what do you to as toss to counter those styles.
PvP is boring. It's usually come down to stalker vs stalker, and you add immortal eventually. When immortal show up, both side go back to stalker with a few zealot. I wish they would nerf them a little.
MM counter varies depending of the size and composition of the balls. Charge lot+stalker usually do a great job against small balls. Templar always do great (templar+z), but they won't be ready in time for early pressure. Same deal with collosus (except they kinda suck against marauder). If its mostly marauder, going immortal+zealot is the way to go.
Against terran, I will usually rush DT unless they move out early (if they do, I just start summoning zealot/stalker). There is a good chance DT will end the game right away, but even when it fails, it usually force them to turtle a little more, giving you enough time to get immortal, or templar. I see very little downside to fast DT against terran, as long you are ready to react against early pressure.
actually PvP is stalker sentry and race to collosus, it's frustrating and exhilarating at the same time, although that inca v. sanzenith game 3 may open up some doors (still wanna see the ray build vs the collosus build though)
God that was such an intense constant micro game.
Against MM, regardless of the specific composition, be sure to have a healthy count of Sentries and know how to use those Force Fields. It's the thing I'm most afraid of as Terran on an early push (and HTs later on).
Yeah Sentries wreak havoc on Terran bio balls when used properly. The most important thing is like Day[9] always says, you just gotta have more stuff. Usually this means a 1 gate expand with lots of sentries to hold off the early pressure until your macro can kick in. The other thing that really helps is having you're army coordinated properly. For Protoss they seem to end up in situations where either the stalkers get way ahead of the rest of the army and get owned early, or the zealots go in before anything else and get taken out while the rest of the army gets into position. More than the other races, I feel toss is most disadvantaged by 1 control group syndrome. Being able to send your zealots in while forcefielding behind the bio army and having your stalkers already in range will help tremendously.
