Me and koala got to bronze league in 2v2 cause he kept DCing our placement matches.
Needless to say, I saved a reply of our first actual Bronze league match because it was rape. XD
Possibly, but I did deliver divine retribution on your drone, so -50 it is!
Which key/mouse commands are used to quickly attack/move/attack/move/attack/move between attack cooldowns? I was able to do this with just right click move in the single player challenges with Hellions vs Banelings. How do you do it well though?
Right click stop or right click hold position can both work also, arguably easier.
Hold does the same thing, except it'll stop your unit instead of having him run back to whatever he's kiting. If you're a-moving when your reaper is still in range, the effect will be the same.
Clicking A will make you move after the target if you somehow outranged it, speeding up the next hit. With "hold", you might have to wait a little longer before getting your shot.
Also, I find it more difficult to keep a constant rhythm with hold if the other guy is also microing his unit forth and back. (ex: if the queen turn back right after I press hold, I won't get any hit, and might need to move toward it again)
I think a move is probably better for reaper because it's short range, but for marauder you can get away with stop/hold pretty well.
A-move, move etc is the ideal method once you obtain the apm to do it on the fly, but the Stop, move method works just fine. It also depends on how many units you're trying to control with it. With 1-2 units, stop/hold is basically the same, bit with a huge ball of units, the A-move makes it so that the units in the back that might be out of range when you you hit stop will instead continue to advance. It's especially useful when you're trying to get an MM ball into position inside someone's base without losing damage.
So, I played this TvT 1 hour 8 min 1v1 the other day...Shit was ridic. Ill upload the replay here tomorrow for some tips at how I couldve won the game much sooner, as I feeeeeeeeel that I really should have to and watching the replay i notice a few things, but it really was quite a ridiculous. I don't know if its just cause he played a MASS turtling game with turrets tanks EVERYWHERE or me still being just the newb I am lol. But none the less finally pulled out the win. Had to change tactics like 4-5 times BCs were used, banshees thors MMM etc etc...Fun fun game though.
^Epic/unique games like that are fun now and then though.
TvT usually takes a long time. It sounds like he went Tank Viking and you didn't, and there really is no strat in TvT besides Tank Viking.
Actually Tank Viking has become almost non-existent in TvT. Since the Tank damage nerf it's become really vulnerable to a variety of different strategies. Marines are now very effective in the match up and really change the dynamic. Basically by making Tank Viking you are inviting your opponent to go Marine Thor and because marines are so cheap his Thor count will be close to your tank count.
