Nice links, thanks.
Really excited based on feedback.
Number of matches is not a spoiler right?
thanks for the links, not looking forward to waiting 600 seconds between dls, but hey i'll get to them eventually
Before I start downloading, these are the VODs, right?
fileserve is down for me right as I tried to download...
Just started watching the finals for the team league... WHEN DID TORCH GET RECRUITED TO STAR TALE WOW. What a lucky kid, wonder how long it will last and if he'll grow at all as a player.
The production values are amazing too! Loved the intro shots and the team chants, I am going to watch the next team league, it seems more drama-prone with lots of revenge and shit. lol
lolololololol at the dancing
Thanks for the links! Please keep giving us links like thatI don't stay up until 4am or whatever just to watch koreans play, and I don't care enough to pay for it, so it's really appreciated when theres epic shit like this!
For sure, my favorite match up was ST_Bomber vs IMMVP, that was a sick, sick, sick game!
hopefully Blizz gets the message, especially since they had execs in attendance
Hopefully Blizz also saw MVP stacking command centers for mule abuse. Been posted about a ton but seeing someone finally do it, I hope the Korean commentators discussed it or at least mentioned it somehow and the Blizzard guys noticed.
well, Slayers Boxer did use that mule abuse in the January GSL on Sakuras
I wonder how long before zergs and terrans start to complain about their lack of a late game game-changer that toss has with the mothership, especially with the increase of macro maps allowing late games to be reached a lot more frequently
If I remember the game right, that was also more because of Squirtle's awesome map control that shut down a lot of the expo's he really wanted to take. If it weren't for the mule spam, I think he would have been out a lot earlier, because he couldn't have gotten as many resources from his short lived bases if he had to continually pump SCVs, and lose most of them every time a base was lost.
Orbital spam is/should be a pretty powerful late game tactic, and not only for mules. They just have so many functions, its hard to argue. They can be lifted to insta-take a base that suddenly becomes available (instead of having to plan/hope for such occurrences late game). They provide the obvious boost of supply (though less cost effective than a depot when considered alone, it should be factored in), and have the distinct advantage over depots in that they can be lifted. The more you have, the more you can use mules, scans, and depot drops, all of which have tremendous new usage in such lategame scenarios.
Mule spam can be used to instant saturate a new base (probably an oribital that you already had around anyways), that you aren't sure will last too long. In the meanwhile, depot drops ACTUALLY give you money (rather than speeding intake) by allowing fewer depots if you haven't gotten to the supply cap, or more likely, you lost some of it. And scans just become insane for perfect army tracking, and full information when it comes to new expos or tech.
It's just so good, even midgame situations I think benefit from increased orbital making. I was glad to see some decent (definitely not perfect yet) usage of them finally in a big game.
Oh I agree it's a good tactic, I just don't think it's an issue that needs to be fixed or changed.
I dunno, we just haven't even begun to see its full potential yet. That said, most people feel like Protoss is the one favored lategame at this point anyways, so yeah definitely not worth trying to change yet, especially before we see what it can do in the right hands.
Bubs always had them on jTV
I dread playing toss end game right now I just can't effectively deal with it. Also now that pros are starting to use mothership its going to be that much harder
Got curious about SC apps on the Android Market and saw SC2Casts Pro, which advertises being able to watch a lot of games and is updated daily. It's only $1.35 right now, do you guys think it would be worth it?
