No clue personally but I've seen it discussed on TL a few times. Looks like a nice program.

Well it's been awhile but I'll be online again soon. Have there been any patches or big changes since the no more fast reapers patch? I haven't been on since oct-nov of last year since my pc I was playing on blew up.
not really, just a couple of balance changes here and there. You can't block a person in with 2 buildings anymore, you need 3. Not much unit adjustments really. New maps are coming shortly. Thats about all i can think of
I haven't seen anyone fully download the GSL matches yet, there's been close to the full amount uploaded though. Is everything going okay with that guys? Let me know. If necessary I can leave my PC on overnight if it means someone can finish.
I can't find any videos about that mass mule thing, what is it?
So I just lost a game against a Terran who 3 rax'd mass marauder. I had 2 fully saturated bases to his one for quite some time. I sac'd an OL and seen his 3 rax's with tach labs with a hand full of marauders. I made the choice to go down spire tech to attempt to dominate the push; however I only had out 4 mutas and as many lings as I had larvae. I eventually killed the attack off but only after losing my Nat, 2 queens, and my spawning pool. Shortly after the attack I lost to his reinforcements. I had plenty of time to react to his build but I just feel I went down the wrong tech path. While I was playing I thought I could drop an infestation pit, a macro hatch to mass lings, or spire tech.
I made the choice to go mutas because had I held it off I would have had a demanding lead with minimal losses; but his suicide did a lot more damage than I was hoping It would. After I lost I think I should have went infestors as he didnt have medivacs. Any advice on handeling mass marauders as a zerg?
Now while Macro better is likely the best answer in general, I 100% outmacroed him so I dont feel that that was the reason I had lost. 1400 Diamond btw >_> (I really should know the correct response ;![]()
MVP vs Squirtle on the GSTL and BoxeR vs HyperDub on GSL S4 on 2nd game I think. The BoxeR match was a little more than MVP match though. I think it ended up being a little over 10 OCs with 4-5 bases and a PF in the end. I know he built 5 or 6 OCs to start replacing SCVs with mules after he maxed out army.
Edit. IDK if you can find a stream or something but the BoxeR match was on Jan 4th or 5th if you wanna look.
So, huge day today for the esports side of SC2. In order of ascending importance(imo):
1) Grack has pulled out of GSL and announced he's moving back to the US indefinitely to compete in NA(and possibly EU) tournaments.
2) MLG has announced a partnership with IMG which will allow them to expand their operations into both Europe and South America.
3)NASL.tv
This one takes a littler explaining. Fans of the "State of The Game" podcast will be familiar with the big announcement that InControl has been hyping for months and is scheduled to occur following his showmatch between Jinro and Idra this monday. At the end of this week's SoTG a graphic was put up on the stream with the URL above and the caption "It's coming..." NASL.tv right now is just a countdown clock counting down to the date and time of the showmatch, and a whois search for the domain finds that it's owned by GosuCoaching. From there it's not exactly a huge logical leap to say this will be the hub for InControl's announcement nor that the acronym most likely stands for North American Star(craft) League.
Now, #3 I admit could be a big flop since right now we have no idea who is involved in this besides InControl himself so we have no idea if he's got the kind of backing he's going to need to make the NASL something to compete with even MLG/Dreamhack let alone GSL. However, he's been hyping this for so long that his credibility is pretty much riding on this announcement and I feel like he wouldn't have done that without the kind of sponsorship that would let him put up, for example, a prize pool upwards of $10k, though obviously that's just my opinion.
With a quarter mil prize for dreamhack, I'd come back to the states too.
the question of course is how would this prize pool correlate with the potential talent pool
edit: nvm think i just got whooshed
Has there been any info on an update? I was just on and the server said it was shutting down in 30 mins. Btw i found out i am really rusty i spent the whole morning getting my ass kicked.
IDK if it was you who mentioned the size of the first GSL prize pools were there to attract the talent, which was true, seeing as how the prize pools are now much smaller. Maybe this is going about it the same way. We should start seeing way more decently sized tourneys here if it takes off, which it should. We'll also start seeing more Koreans and Europeans here as well. There's nothing stopping the Westerners from taking off, only talent, but money solves all that eventually.
That MLG news is pretty huge. Each MLG has been better than the last and they'll only grow even more now. I just hope they start using the GSL maps or maybe get a map making team of their own. This of course will only be furthered by the TSL using GSL maps and now maybe the NASL if it is in fact the NA starcraft league.
If the money is there, the talent will definitely follow. We saw at GSTL that the major teams have a lot of talented players that currently aren't competing in GSL because getting into Code S where you can actually earn some money is such a grind between getting past the cheese-fest qualifiers and then spending an entire season in Code A. if an NA or EU tournament is able to put up, say a 50-60k prize for 1st, I expect we'll see teams start spreading out their talent out between SK and the rest of the world, while still keeping GSL as their priority.
IdrA's interview a few days ago mentioned how the e-sports was sky-rocketing in the western side. I guess they just mean foreigners to Koreans. Yeah, he mentioned MLG was bumped up to 50k and DH to 234k. I'm sure they'll go down but yeah, you need to attract the talent somehow. : )
There's also that announcement that incontrol is going to make, supposedly about a NASL.
