My pc has been freezing lately in SC2 very often. About 50% of games or so. Due to this I've been losing a lot and I got to Rank 1 plat. I dced a game and came back and saw I was Rank 2 Diamond. O_o what the fuck?

I thought I was the only one getting that! As of late my pc will slow down heavily or just plain freeze for a few seconds at a time while playing the game. Wonder if it's a wide spread issue...

Doesnt sound like an issue!

Try updating your driver and downgrading the graphics to something terrible looking in the meantime. It sucks, but nothing is worse than losing a game to a crash.

Steal builds, seriously. Find someone who's good at the race you play, find a replay, and go steal their shit unit for unit. I would strongly recommend watching the Day[9] dailies on mechanics if you're relatively new, also.
From bronze, even all the way up to high diamond you can win a lot more games just by building shit faster, and building more shit. Also scout. A lot.

also, I for one am glad the ladder reset is finally coming. only took 8 months? I will finally start to ladder 1v1 again, I put it off for so long i just decided not to do it anymore

It's not an actual reset though, is it? Idk they made it all confusing...they said everyones placement freezes, and we get 1 placement match, but then they said this is the perfect time to make it to number 1 in our division and to use our bonus pool.

I personally think that copying build is a bad way to learn, unless you absolutely want easy victory. You might save 16 mineral over a less efficient build, but it's not what make the biggest difference, especially in the lowest league. Starcraft is much more interesting when take decisions based on your economy, potential threat and overall situation. Althought, having a plan considerably help if you're building whatever without a particular reason.

-Keep a healthy economy (always build probe/drone/scv unless you absolutely can't afford it to survive).
-Don't let your opponent economy get ahead (don't let him get more expo for too long)
-Keep track of your ressource. Unpsent mineral/gas are useless.
-Always have a plan. The plan can change, but you can't afford spreading your ressources into the whole tech tree early. If you build something, it's to counter the other guy army (or what you think he is doing)

Stats wont go up, but you can finish up your bonus pool if you still have some.

A lot of people seem confused about how the freeze works.

Things that freeze:
- League
- Accumulation of bonus pool (meaning ladder points temporarily don't inflate)

Things that don't freeze:
- MMR
- Sigma
- Position in division
- Wins/Losses (and stats in general)
