It's a fungal buff for the most part. You can't trap medivacs/phoenixes for as long but you do damage twice as fast and rape marauder/protoss balls 30% harder than before.

But with it lasting for 4 seconds instead of 8 it does half damage from that so.....

It's a huge nerf.

I thought fungal only 36 damage anyway, so having a spell that does 18 (+30% vs armored) sounds silly. I'm sure they were just lazy to clarify so willing to bet it's 36 over 4s with the addition of bonus vs armored, which makes it more awesome than before.

so basically right now is when you want to be reaching rank 1 of your division and spending all your bonus pool....so when they reset in a few weeks you're rank 1 in your division? a little confused about how the reset works

The fungal change is actually a massive buff especially against toss. I mean so much so that IdrA, the guy who played Terran in SC1 and still bitched that they were UP, is saying it could cause ZvP to be imbalanced.

It does that to everyone. They come back, and then they dissapear again. Somebody broke SC2.

No. Your points will be reset in the ladder reset. You will play one placement match (to make sure you're still an active player) and your MMR + Sigma will be used to determine your league/division.

After reset:
Points = gone
Bonus pool = gone
Division = gone
League = gone.

All that remains is MMR/Sigma.
