Idra had a good chance at winning the whole thing. Beating MMA meant playing Losira in a ZvZ which he's even better at now after experiencing defensive infestor play by zenio. Then in the finals he'd have an extended series between whoever meets him since he'd have games over all of them.

Also, any of these archieved somewhere? I'm watching live but it looks like I missed a few good games. At least in this, unlike tsl3, it looks like there's a lot of zerg around near the end.

Targeting the key tech structures with his drops, and then abusing that window of time helped him a lot. Since Losira was on mostly just lings and banelings, losing either of those buildings pretty much leaves him defenseless for however long it takes to rebuild.

That push on game 2 right before he lost his baneling nest was also really bad :/

Cause he showed his muta to defend his expand from 6 marines. I mean.. what the fuck? He coulda fucked MMA so bad with all those mutas. But then his base suddenly turned into turret city, making mutas a lot less useful.

Yeah that was a smart move, but with so many marines/turrets around the map, he shoulda used the mutas to stop drops and assault ground with lings/banelings.

I'm pretty nooby since I've only been playing for a few weeks, but why don't people duplicate their tech structures? Obviously there is an opportunity cost involved, but in that last game Losira knew that he was very drop happy and surely you'd want to ensure you don't get completely shut down?

It costs 200 min for a spawning pool. 200 min and 200 gas for a spire. On top of that, both take a while to make (spire is longer). It is just not worth it, considering 200 min is 8 lings you could of had. Players at this level are usually good enough to defend against tech hits like that. He shouldn't of had all his buildings hit like that, but his top was completely undefended for a few attacks so.. idk. It's tough.
