I suck and stuff but given how little resistance Losira often found immediately combined with his formidable economy, I would've expected Banes to be prettty horrible for those hit&runs. So many lings got caught and castrated on those buildings.

Yeah losing the mutas was the big thing. If he had 3x the mutas he had at the end (which he would have), those counters could have actually killed important tech and warp gates and nexuses rather than annoying MC without doing any lasting damage. Additionally, he would have been able to 1 shot snipe colo making his mass ling style infinitely better. Those muta losses were just so careless and unnecessary, was really game changing.

Pretty sure Idra was still tilted from his shitty decision to leave against MMA (a game he had won even if he didn't know it), and MC only pushed him further and further on tilt with his antics. And Idra does not play well on tilt, even though he maintains pretty good mechanics he forgets some key things, makes stupid decisions, and blames his race. This tourney could have looked so different if he had stayed in that MMA game, would have kept his confidence and if he won, would have had a great straight shot to finals with a different mentality.

Idra had a good chance at winning the whole thing. Beating MMA meant playing Losira in a ZvZ which he's even better at now after experiencing defensive infestor play by zenio. Then in the finals he'd have an extended series between whoever meets him since he'd have games over all of them.

I'm an idra fan and I just feel cheated

Well, Losira trains with Nestea who is widely regarded as one of the best (if not the) ZvZ in the world, would have been hard for IdrA, although I do think he could have taken the series vs MMA.
